DX 11 questions : Crysis

I have a few questions about DX 11.

Obviously my laptop can't play the game at Ultra, I can only do "Very High" to get decent frame rates.

(i7 720QM, mobility 5870, 8GB of ram)

However, my card is DX 11. I can only see the features of DX 11 under Ultra, is it possible to use DX 11 without having it set to Ultra? Or must all the settings be raised to the max to use DX11? (Which doesn't seem to make sense to me. )

you'll need to wait for the new command list to be released, using a .cfg file will let us tweak the game more.

DX 11 isn't enabled though.
