A questline that Skyrim could have

Post » Mon Oct 27, 2014 6:53 am

It would be cool to see in Skyrim a town being bullt from the begining short of like Raven Rock in bloodmoon expansion. Doing errants and waiting for a week for the next construction phase to start. You could choose what kind of shops you would like to see and also try to persuade people from other cities to live there permanently.I hope this feature to be return in TES VI

Rebuilding Helgen would certainly have been a perfect opportunity to incorporate a 'build over time' aspect - that perhaps the player could have participated in. Ignoring it is reminiscent of ignoring Kvatch back in Cyrodiil. (Yes, I know that the wonderful modding community took care of this in both cases.)

And let's not forget about how they repaired Whiterun after the siege, and fixed the Bruma Mages guild... NOT!

I agree a quest like that would be cool. or at least that Beth cleaned up their mess so to speak.

TES VI will include reparing all of Morrowind, and persuading all the immigrants to move back to the tents we set up.

But atleast Helgen wasn't raining all the time like Kvatch

How do you know The Elder Scrolls VI will include repairing all of Morrowind and persuading all of the immigrants to move back to the tents you set up? Do you have some inside information? Or just thought up of it by yourself.

If The Elder Scrolls VI does end up taking us back to Morrowind or even to both Morrowind and Vvardenfell, since The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind was supposed to have Vvardenfell included but Bethesda Softworks decided to not add it because of the Xbox's limitations, this would be very awesome to see in The Elder Scrolls VI.

You got it mixed up there, initially they wanted to have Morrowind as the playable area, but it was too ambitious of a project so they decided to only work on Vvardenfell and make sure that the playable area had enough depth and content, rather than the huge area mostly void of any content that it would have otherwise been. The name might be confusing to those who haven't played it, but it was definitely Vvardenfell in ES III, not mainland Morrowind.

As for rebuilding of towns/cities post-destruction, all of my yes. I hate it when in videogames things stay destroyed/in ruins permanently after they've been destroyed, even years later. The smouldering building in Whiterun, the ruined Helgen/Kvatch, it just completely breaks immersion when you pass by it and think about it (perhaps in the case of one/two buildings it's not that bad, but it's hard to ignore an entire settlement that you pass by several times still in ruins 5 years after whatever event caused the destruction).
