2 quests unable to keep going : Fallout: New Vegas

Heartache by the Number- i already investiaged the silver rush in freeside for evidence on the van graff's guilt and it hasnt given me the new objective on what to do next.

Return to Sender- same thing i completed "speak to chief hanlon in his office" and no new objective.

also with the quest ED-E My Love when i take the robot to the gibson scrap yard nothin happens. i tried talking to old lady gibson and she doesnt give me a dialog for the robot.

i am horrible at looking up things you can ask my husband and i've tried to find what im looking for but no luck theres so many things i just didnt know exactly where to start. thanks

Basically speaking with Chief Hanlon and deciding what to do is pretty much the end of it. If you talked to Old Lady Gibson before you got ED-E working, then it won't update and you'll have to find another trigger person. And for the evidence, have you gotten the other piece from Alice McLafferty's safe? If not then get that, should update, followed by dialogue.

Thanks.. How do I find another trigger person for ED-E? It only gave me "(Optional) Bring ED-E to the Gibson Scrapyard in Novac" and nothing else.

Closest trigger point from Gibson would be Helios One, go in there and right in front of you should be a computer. Using it and reading whatever is on there should trigger the next step. Just to save you some time, After you get the first message, at least 9 game days have to pass before you can execute the next trigger. Also any of the NCR Troopers around Helios One will trigger it.

Yes ED-E must be with you during each trigger.

this says optional because i cant remember what i did but i remember doing a quest where u had to get holotapes from ded BoS soldiers and then ED-E suddenly started talking (someone) was speaking through a radio to contact you... then the person asks u to take ED E to BoS so u can upgrade ED-E then the questfinishes and completes
