So... my final playthrough.

Big Guns, Unarmed... and all of a sudden we are rocking the Energy weapons.....

If I keep the majority of the energy weapon use indoors, will I be able to have the same game lifespan? Or does the game treat indoor cells the same as exterior cells... seeing as 98 percent of the interiors do not respawn.

My Energy Weapon experience on 360 was fine. I had a 560 hour character who did all dlcs and existed through every version of the game patches and used the crap out of the Metal Blaster and A3-21's and I had no problems with them concerning my save file. I think you'll be fine
