Quick help, about BOSS, Wrye Bash and Bashed patch?

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:12 pm

How do I use BOSS to set up a load order.
And Wrye Bash to create bashed patch before play?

I've done everything I can from here: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/995334-mmm-and-fcom-omod-installers/#top
This is just the last step that I need help with. :/

Tomlong has some nice instructions on her site. It's linked in her sig and easy to find.

BOSS has complete instructions in the readme for it, but really all you have do is install it correctly, turn off lock times in Wrye Bash, and then click the "BOSS" button in the bottom bar of Wrye Bash.

Bashed patch is created by right-clicking it in WB, and choosing "Rebuild Patch", then just choose the options you want. Some of the overhauls have specific instructions for their own mods. Tomlong has specific and general instructions on the aforementioned website.

I suggest you start reading from the beginning of my site, and follow the "Next Step" at each page until you run out of steps. That will go through the entire process of setting up modified Oblivion. The new-user friendly combination that I most recommend, for now, is OBMM for mod installation and BOSS and Wrye Bash for maintaining your LO.

"Related Pages" you need to read (in addition)
Oblivion Mod Manager - http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/prep/obmm
OMOD Installation - http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/installmods/obmm-installation

If you have any trouble with the site, please post in the site's thread (second link in my sig.) If you have any other questions, or you want me to walk you through anything, ask away. The site will be receiving a major face lift, and I am collecting all sorts of suggestions and feedback to carry over into the revamp.

BOSS has complete instructions in the readme for it, but really all you have do is install it correctly, turn off lock times in Wrye Bash, and then click the "BOSS" button in the bottom bar of Wrye Bash.

And, gotta say, the new BOSS icon (in Wrye Bash) is much more easy to spot, I suspect, if you're not sure what you're looking for/at in the first place.

Same goes for the rest. Much more user-friendly.
