Quick Morrowind Overhaul 3.0 and UMP Question

Post » Sun Feb 03, 2013 10:29 pm

Hey everyone,

I have the Morrowind GOTY steam edition, and I installed it recently because I intend to make a Dark Elf that will finally finish the main story....something I haven't managed to do in the 10 years I've been playing the game =P

So I installed it last night, and I'm just going to play pretty much Vanilla this time only I wanted nicer graphics and the unofficial patch. I just have two quick questions:

1.) I installed MGSO 3.0 and followed all of the instructions, but when I started the game up, it told me some error about a pillow when loading the jewelry mod, so I disabled the "unique jewelry" portion of the mod and the error went away. Will I run into any further problems down the road by doing this? I also ran into a problem in Balmora about a missing mesh in one of the manors, but I just picked "yes to all" and everything seemed fine after that.

2.) When I found the unofficial patch on PES, it was version 1.6.3, but it told me I also required another patch which was 1.2.2. I installed 1.2.2 first, then overwrote the files for that with 1.6.3 and I only enabled the 1.6.3 .esm file. Is that the correct thing to do, and do you think I'd run into any problems down the road by doing this?

Thanks!

Shame on you for that!
and...
Shame on me for not having finished the MQ in Oblivion :)
MSGO comes with a few bugs which can be corrected according to its readme, at least that's what I have been told when I inquired about the infamous "furn_de_r_table_03.nif" missing error.

Hahah I know, I honestly don't even remember how far I've ever gone in the main quest outside of delivering the package to Cassius =/

And okay I'll check out the readme for that, thanks. I can't believe how nice everything looks now, I was blown away right when I emerged from the ship in Seyda Neen.
