Quick PS3 Question

Post » Wed Jul 17, 2013 12:47 am

So it seems that I cant have more than 3 characters on my PS3. If I try to make a 4th it automatically deletes the newest one. I made a new Death Knight on Saturday and it erased my newest thief I made about a month ago. Not a big deal, but if it was my mage I'dve been P.O'd. Anyone else experience this?

I'm scared to have multiple characters on one account so I make a new profile for each should I have multiple characters.

For some reason or another, this happens across all platforms and I so far have not seen rhyme or reason to it (though consoles experience the most with it)
It deleted my first character when I made a 2nd. I haven't since had a problem with it though.

I remember having 3 or 4 in there without getting the other ones deleted. But that was long ago, maybe a patch screwed up something? You have to remember to save the character in a new save slot before the character creation autosave deletes the last manual save. I now only play one character at a time so I have not experienced this.

A suggestion if I may: Whenever you make a save, go in 3rd person, turn the camera around and get a good close up of the character save. That way it's easier when deleting saves.

I always do that to ensure that I never accidentally delete something that shouldn't be deleted.

I've noticed this on my PS3 as well. It seems certain "save spots" are glitched. Best thing I have found to do is keep at least 2 save files per character(maybe you want to do 3?), that way if one gets overwritten, you have a fallback. It's usually only 1 slot that messes up on mine(does this with multiple games too btw, not just skyrim)

Yeh it doesn't affect everybody. I have 4 characters right now and haven't had a problem since my first got messed with.

If you save over the Prisoner save (the first one the game makes for you right before you create your character) the game will erase it and make a new Prisoner save when you start a new character. For this reason it is best just to leave that save slot alone and never save over it.

Personally I never bother with more than one character at a time, I find it a little confusing otherwise. I am quite happy with one character with just ten rolling saves.
