A Quick Question

Post » Tue Apr 05, 2011 3:37 pm

Hi Brink Community. I'm new to these forums and I have a question: does Brink have split-screen? If so, is it online (2 players on 1 console playing online), offline, or both? Thanks.

Zero logic involved in that thought process.

Too young to understand what split screen is to gaming.

I can understand hating to split screen. but why hate the people who do? I mean consoles were meant to play with friends, it annoys me when developers don't put it in cause its not like everyone I know is going to buy the same game.

Exactly, I was looking forward to playing this with my friends or my dad, but since there is none, I'm buying my dad a copy as an early fathers day gift (and so I can get the Best Buy preorder)

I'd rather hand the controller off personally and in most games i've played split screening actually causes a whole lot of lag, that means when I'm shooting the bastard their gonna lag more than the average player and when I'm playing, I'm gonna lag like no other.

Reason I'm glad for no split screening is because I don't wanna get caught in the "let's splitscreen!" thing with my friends, I'd rather be like, "nope sorry no split screen in this game, get your own copy."

I don't like it online either, but I'd rather have the option for it at least offline

And lol at the second reason

I do suppose an offline splitscreen wouldn't be such a bad idea, it's mainly online stuff that get's me all pissy... Also, I hate the fact that theirs 2 different audio's going on at once

Yeah, online split screen isn't a good idea for multiple reasons, but i don't see why they didn't include offline SS

well split screens come in handy with large families i know Bunny Gypsy and myself both come from large families and i had 2 take 30 min turns kinda svcked cause it was PS2's era of super long games where it take 3hrs to do ANYTHING split screens gave us 1hr turns and games for the 360 like Gears of War and Rainbow 6 Vegas were really fun splitting it.

Me either, and thats why i have been kidnapping peoples pocket ninjas in revenge! REVENGEEE!!! Then i give out plenty of turtles made out of pocket ninjas , somtime turtle bombs.

Anywho, i dont like splitscreen that much anymore, somthing like brink? Mabey, since blackops allows people to splitscrren online. Ive really hated it, in nazi zombies i get idiots who go afk or do nothing at all, there ussaly little kids or the persons freind just messing around.

Splitscreeners now flood zombies, every gamr i join theres a split screener, and i mean nearly EVERY GAME. Takes me forever to find one with out Splitscreeners, i have yet to see a pair who are actually decent.

I could ramble on, on how im the only one with a brain capacity greater then a Q-tip in almost every game of zombies but my point is....

Well i forgot.

I don't much care for vertical split-screen in FPS games after Borderlands... why the [censored] would I need to focus my camera movement vertically, in a game that mostly features wide-open and barren clearings... where enemies swarm towards and shoot at you from the SIDES, not magically from the sky or underground.

It doesn't make much sense for FPSs and racing games, but in general it's the best, yet least common solution.
