When I saved in DDS format in Paint.net, an option box popped up.

DXT compression format was at the top, then a few options I don't recognize, then the MipMap option.

There's info here on what options to use for different types of item textures: http://cs.gamesas.com/constwiki/index.php/DDS_Files

Is there a way to make a weapon with an idle sound ? ( like playing a sound loop when the weapon is drawed ? )

You can add sounds in the nif files of creatures. I don't know if that's workable with a weapon.

That might work, any idea how is that done ? I loaded a random creature in the Nifskope, but I can't find anything that controls the sound...

Actually, now that I think about it, I think the sounds were located in the animation files. The KF files rather than the NIF file.

Hmmm, that's probably true, the vanilla hist pump object sound appears to be done that way. The bad thing is I don't know a thing about modifying the .KFs...

I was thinking if it couldn't be done by a script, but I'm not really sure how to do that.

Certainly, if you can put a script on the object you can use Playsound or Playsound3d while the sword is equipped.

It is now. Check the Playable Goblin Race mod thread in the mods forum for details.

What about making player races with different animation (like changing the leg models and animation to make a snake like lower body)

If you have the animations, it's probably possible.

There's a Centaur race mod being developed right now.

Is there a static item, non-container chest with its lid open anywhere in the CS? Trying to place something to put gems and coins into, but if it's in the CS, I sure can't find it.

I believe the animations are based on the skeleton associated with the individual NPC. The animations are stored in the same folder as the skeleton. Player has an entry as an NPC as well, so it can be modified.

Does anyone know what controls the view angle for turning your head while mounted? I'd like to increase it so I can see directly behind me out of the corner of my "eye"

As in, when mounted you can only look 90 degrees to either side. Needs about another 20 degrees or so to allow you to glance behind you without turning the horse around.

There is, think it's under dungeons>Misc. It's a square lower-class chest that looks a bit broken. If memory serves, there's one on the second floor of the Roxey inn which serves as the Empire's one and only toilet. Or, atleast that's what it looks like. Afraid there isn't anything else that's vanilla, but pretty sure there's some resources somewhere.

oh... might involve some skeleton hackery to modify the camera. An alternative would be to toggle free camera on mount and move it with the horse.

The limit is not based on an arbitrary limit on number of lines (to my knowledge), but rather on the size of the script itself - About 30.2 KB.

I just started modding a few days ago and I was wondering how to add parnet master files if saving your mode dosn't work? I wanted to make a dungan using the Battlehorn Castle from Bethesdas DLCs and every time i save my mod everything stays but the castle, I did some reserch and I think becuase the DLCBattlehornCastle.esp isn't being added to the parent master list is the reason why every time i close TESCES it disappears. All i have listed for my TES file is the oblivion.esm.

Thanks

I'm making spells that are just script effects, and in game the symbol is always just a plain Burden spell symbol, is there anyway to change what symbol it uses besides going under magic effects and changing the symbol for script effect?
