A Quick Thank You To Bethesda

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 1:35 am

i figure that after reading lots of threads of suggestions and comments about what to change in the game they might like seeing a thread about what people are thankful for regarding changes............we will call it positive reinforcement. things i am thankful for that are in the game..........

shadows..........this is a biggie for me

dual wielding.......even though im probably going to use shield and axe or polearm thanks for finally giving people the option

lots of nords.........nords are my fave race so that goes without saying. on a related note the nord women look well endowed. :goodjob:

having to equip magic before using it..........makes playing a pure mage character viable now and gets rid of the uber battlemage class

carriage system.............THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

real mountains..........not the hills from previous games.

fallout 3 level scaling..........lightyears better than oblivions

races will play differently...................in past games they all felt the same after awhile.

no more gamebreaking bugs.............there arent going to be an gamebreaking bugs now, right?

draugr sp?.............missed those guys from solsthiem

perks............loved them from the fallout games and they make replay more dynamic

Puzzles in dungeons.
A way to look at every item in detail.
Fluent levelling by just playing the game.
The way Khajit and Orcs looked on the pictures.
Dragons.
All fabulous.

This is going to be the best game ever.
Thanks Bethesda :)

Agree fully. Especially about the shadows and carriage thing and real mountains. Shadows was about time. They should have been in FO3, and definitely in F:NV.

A combo of this is very refreshing from the hack-n-slash of the game.

Kudos to Bethesda and Valve, my two favourite game companies (Bioware & Crytek are fallen angels to me now).

Yeah...
Thanks for making the best games i've ever played :)
Can't wait to play Skyrim and i want to thank Bethesda for all the time they spent in development of Skyrim, i'm sure you guys well be well rewarded. I do understand you guys do not do it for the rewards and money, but your love of your fans. Though if i even have to spend $100.00 just to play this game i will be more than willing to do it without hesitation because i show my full support.

(this reminds me of thanksgiving in school)

-im thankful for more fluid 3rd person animation even if im not going to use it all the time i like to roam the wilderness and admire my character in the world.

-confirmed dx11 support , thanks for not holding us pc gamers to what the xbox can handle

-mostly thankful for a modest stream of news and video related to the game making me happier i pre-ordered.

Interesting to see a side-by-side change from Khajiits and Orcs from Morrowind to Skyrim posted at TESNexus :

It's cool to see the same thing change over time by graphical and technological achievements :P

Just so everyone understands how much it means for me to say this, I have played every big title that has come out for PC in the last 8 years and many indie games besides all were so hyped, and I was told by so many people that each one was "the best game evaaarrrr", and besides Neverwinter Nights, the original FEAR, Half Life 2, Portal, and Amnesia,, every single game was a huge disappointment to me, but FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY THERE IS A GAME THAT DESERVES THE HYPE

THIS IS SKYRIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything is absolutely beautiful Bethesda! Skyrim is going to be the game of the year hands down, and you really show that you listen to your fans, and still manage to win over the majority of the general gaming public. Thats some skills. Currently I am attending the governors school for the arts, working on my own artistic skills in hopes that i can make it into a good college and maybe even make my way to working with a company that puts out as good of games as you do.

Thanks Bethesda, if it weren't for you I'd probably still be playing [censored] JRPG's with less than 2% of the content you guys put into your games. You guys are legendary.

The colors are so much more realistic, what a huge difference something so simple can make(tec wise).

There was a thread a while ago about the appearance of races in the game, people seemed to share a single concept in their head as to how each of the races should look (past appearances of races had not matched this well at all). After seeing the pictures of various Nords and the new pictures of the Orc and Khajiit, I don't think Bethesda could have done it any better. While the races had almost certainly been made much before that thread was started, I think Bethesda understood the general displeasure regarding the previous looks of races and acted accordingly. Many thanks!

So glad Khajiits look awesome. And the environmental detail the press is describing sounds awesome too!
