Everytime that I try to quicksave I get about 3 seconds of turbulence, which can be very annoying as I have a habit of quicksaving about every 30 seconds. I've put Skyrim on the lowest graphic settings and turned off all my mods. I've checked the requirements and my computer should be able to run Skyrim at the minimal conditions at least. What's the problem?

This is normal. There's going to be some sluggishness as the game needs to save the data.

Is there anything I can do like download certain mods, or should I just curb my saving habits?

Yes, because overwriting the file too many times is not a good idea.

Besides, nothing happens in this game that can't deal with a 5 to 10 minute interval of saving.
