Quieter Lasers?

Conversing with some people on the internet forces me to bite my tongue until it bleeds.

I am just so thankful for your post!

...and the bromance continues. (I do think.) :tops:

I made another video showing off a more realistic (and more accurate) laser rifle. As it is just light it should make no sound right?

Dude ... by starting with ad hominems in the middle of discussion just shows that you run out of arguments. If you have nothing to say to the topic on hand, just stay quiet. It's not that difficult.

Sure, but no one else is arguing that Bethesda's counting on "casual players' ignorance." When you look at all of the nonsensical stuff that's been in Fallout since the beginning, it's kind of ridiculous to call people ignorant for not really caring if laser weapons aren't realistic.

I don't think I need someones else approval to argue something. Unless I violate rules of the forum. Feel free to point me at it if I did.

For all the fine points of Fallout 4, there is very noticeable push for casualisation in it, even compared to previous Fallouts. Be it laser weapons, dialogues, legendary enemies which are not legendary, their magical drops and so on. I am hardly only one who noticed. If you have somehow missed all the critical posts here on this very forum then that's not my fault.

And no, it's anything but ridiculous to demand entertainment which is intelligent, rather then dumb. When developer makes armor piercing receiver, it's OK with me because I know it's abstraction of the real thing, namely gun firing armor piercing bullets. When developer make laser which makes cheap, theatrical effects, he counts on me to be too dumb enough to notice and I have right to complain.

And here we go, proving my point.

And really, if all your gonna talk about is real world ballistics and how a fictional object supposedly works, you would be off topic. We are talking about gameplay reasons, not real world laser physics. If you want to talk about that, we have a lovely community thread where you can talk about it to your hearts content.

And really, calling people "casuals" is super low. I don't understand the hate for people who don't dedicate multiple hours of time to be the very best in a fictional world.

I like the laser sounds, particularly the electric buzz sound when you equip the laser rifle and switch it on.

I love that too! I constantly put it away just to see and hear that. :)
