Quirky things you'd like to do in FO4 (happy thread)

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 8:54 pm

Let's face it, there's not much Fallout 4 news at the moment,

so I thought it might be fun to share what quirky things you are looking forward to doing in the game.

I've subtitled the thread 'Happy thread' because even if you mostly hate the game or have concerns about aspects of it, there must be something you'd like to do. Clearly if you don't want to play the game at all, that would make your post off-topic as you would not be planning to do anything in Fallout 4. :stare:

So I request this thread be for happy thoughts even if you have issues with other things. :D

- - - - - - - - - - - -

Three things I want to do, to get the thread going:

  1. I want to do a huge car explosion cascade, shooting a car among many other cars on a freeway and watching them all explode and burn.
  2. Using a Fat Man on a Radroach.
  3. Decorate my house with (unbroken) Garden Gnomes (the lack of breaks matters).

Wait, will there be exploding cars like in FO3?
Still, I'll probably do a house of horrors settlement with evil, creepy and half-broken gnomes watching you all the time (and probably booby trap them). Raiders won't even get close!

This brings back fond memories of tossing a grenade at the bridge outside The Pitt and watching the domino effect that would almost always crash my game, but so worth it.

In the gameplay footage, the pc shot a car and it exploded killing feral ghouls. So exploding cars are most likely in.

HOW CAN WE AS A SPECIES BE HAPPY WHEN WE'RE JUST BRED AND PUSHED OUT ONTO THE UNFORGIVING PLANET WITH OUR SKINLESS NAKED BODIES IN CONSTANT AGONIZING PAIN CREATED BY THE SLIGHTEST LISP OF THE HARSH AND UNFORGIVING WIND?
ALL JUST TO FEED THE MONSTROSITY THAT HUMANITY CREATED CALLED SOCIETY WE WAKE UP GET FED LIES AND GO BACK TO SLEEP AND DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTILL WE RETURN TO THE ETERNAL VOID TO BE DAMNED TO WONDER AIMLESSY FOR ETERNITY IS THAT WHAT YOU CALL HAPPY? IT..IS..ALL...MEANINGLESS...:) Lol jk :)

I hope bethesda leaves in there dark humor when exploring boston liketo finding a skeleton in the middle of the wastelandand sprawled out on its stomach with a note and a small locked chest and the note reads as "if I can get to town I can sell this chest and whatever is in it I can finally buy something to drink oh Im so thirsty...." you take the chest, lockpick it and find.........bottles of purified water and nukacola inside. I would enjoy things like that. :)

You might be unlucky,

I'd be surprised if the map goes south of Cutler Park...

But finding real world places is indeed a fun thing to do

Talk about odd, I collected hats in Fallout:3 and NV. I hope there are plenty to collect in this one as well. Love me some hats!

I collect pencils. And I hope they are weightless and as useless as ever. I always imagine that my pc will open a pencil shop when they retire and have the market cornered.

I want to find a radio station that plays happy instrumental music (like the Enclave one in Fallout 3) and have that as my background music while I kill random strangers and steal their stuff. That's a happy topic right?

I like to find high areas to jump off of... Hope they allowed the death animation to play out longer. Hate it when it cuts off in the midst of a good tumble.

Watching the sunset; the single best moment of the day :)

I'm actually interested to see the natural order of the world in Fallout 4.The Witcher 3's dynamic weather systems, day night cycle and life felt special, almost numinous.I hope Fallout 4's world can offer those same beautiful moments :)

I collected gnomes & Nuka cola trucks to decorate my abode. No doubt I will spend hours doing something similar in F4

Although My shack would probably be in the woods somewhere, with pens made for Yao Guai... and Deathclaws if I can somehow lure them in. Who needs other settlers when you have Guardbears? And Codsworth of course.

I also want to make Billy Mays as my main Protag for my first playthrough. Because I can.... Although I'm worried I won't be able to take the more intense parts seriously if I do.
