being all of 19 years old, i can see where you would falter in your observation of the reality of this game. You still have much to learn about the gaming world. These judgements come from the deeper layers of things. People who criticize graphics are looking for more than how the water looks, or how the lighting reflects off the buildings, or how you get flashed when coming out into the bright sun from a dark room.... these people are looking for the real down and dirty. things like anti-aliasing, frame rate, shadows, physics, no clipping, trailing, and many other specific problems that I can tell you from experience DO exist in this game.
When you try to dub a game with such a profoundly ignorant title as "best looking game on console" you have to know that people are going to myth bust that ****... and right now, its not looking very good for crysis 2... if you ask me, in terms of graphics both looking fantastic AND being stable, Metal Gear Solid 4 kicks the **** out of this game. While anyone who either hasnt played MGS4 or doesnt like the series will just automatically chime in and try to call "****"... but the bottom line is that Hideo Kojima doesnt mess around, and when he plays he plays to win, and he won...
Crysis 2 has a lot to offer in areas that MGS4 didnt, and i think once they fix the issues it will definitely be competition, but it will NEVER be the "best" looking game.. mainly because too much of what is wrong with it is in the deep layers of the game that the developers will probably never fix because its going to cost too much money to do so. they will chock it up as a loss and try to improve on Crysis 3, if they decide to go console with it (which, after this fiasco i doubt..)
So if you like the game, great. But dont try to discredit the opinions and complaints of the more demanding part of the group just because you are content with the defects. I, for one, manage to keep myself in either MVP or MPS almost every game, and I still think there needs to be improvements. So to say complainers simply "cant hack it", is rather ignorant, and rude.
