"Less is more" DOES sum things up quite nicely, I think, which is why I said it. It blankets the complaints that removing things makes the game worse or dumbed down or over-simplified.
Note: I am being a bit sarcastic here. I do expect the game to be very good. I just am not sure anymore that this will be as great a game as it has/had potential to be.
You said less above when more is definitely needed.
As an example. A stupid mage will fight a conjurers beast they pull up. A smart mage will defend themselves from that beast but focus their attack on the conjurer in some manner. Like attack their Intelligence, hence ability to control the beast. Yes, you can come back and say...
Hey! the mage can attack Conjuration! Maybe, but that, since spell making has been cut, would require one of these godaweful two-hands! little pinky winkle approaches that it sounds like is being implemented and another spell to attack their ability to Dispell since the whole point of attacking attributes is to attack multiple abilities at once......
Oh wayt....Mysticism was cut out too so who knows about dispell....so this whole conversation may be moot as the game for mages has potentially been dumbed down beyond reason.
But we will have sweet dragon tweets to make up for the loss. :intergalactic:
