I Quit Playing Already

i actually like and totally dont miss any "stupid" attributes and "armor weapons repairs".. there are no real issues that bugs me, only few minorities..

IKR? I'm not going to complain about not having to run back to a blacksmith or some [censored] like that every 5 minutes to repair my armor because it already degraded.

So yeah, I beat the MQ, Civil war Quests, and the Companions Quest-Line. Hmm got to level 30 with my main character a Nord w/a battleaxe. Got to level 16 with my alt a Khajiit/werewolf archer. Dungeons, dragons, and what not as well. I think I was turned off before I even started. The Create-a-Character svcked imo. No hand to hand svcked big time. The general RPG character sheet got butchered; there is no STR, DEX, AGI, CON, WIS, INT, ECT. Not being able to create a class svcks because now instead of being a custom class named "Ninja Assassin" or even a premade class named "Warrior", you now are just a race with skills. So for me the character development wasn't exactly there.

I think you missed the point by a mile on this - There are stats in this game they are just not as arbitory as putting points into this or that during level up, if you use a skill your stats in it increase. I think thats great for RPG I swing a big sword therefore I get better at swinging said big sword just as it would be in RL.

Actually this means there's more character development not less. Your initial decisions matter less, while how you develop as you play matters more. It'd be more accurate to say "the character creation wasn't exactly there.", or something along those lines.

COme on its just a bunch of numerical points ... perk = +10% in this , - 25 % in that , what that means??? that's what you call rpg system ?

Its missing totally the point you cannot develope any figure out of that ... the strenght factor shoudl be represented by the image of the character , sliders ...
want to make something original ???

make the appearence work as character determination ...

mae a slender figure = better at sneaking or save points for intelligence ... make a bulkier guy heavy and slow , make it better at fights and less at stamina etc....

With the damage inflicted by monsters in this game, You'd be fixing armour three times each fight...

What broke the game for me was actually the massively imbalanced power-levels for some skills, that basically force you to skip and ignore parts of the game just because they are either not working, not fun, or destroy the entire experience.

Once you understand that and have the discipline to ignore these parts, the game is actually pretty fun except for the bugs and immersion breaks. I feel like the actual release date for Skyrim was in fact March 2012 and it just got rushed in before christmas...

So the difference is that you would enjoy clicking a button labeled "+1 Strength" more than a button labeled "+20% damage when using one handed weapons"?

Could you please place the fact that you ride a dragon in spoilertabs? I have not even begun the mainquest yet and that was a painful spoiler to me...

The quests do seem like they take way less time to complete but they seem higher quality than oblivions GTFO amulet quests...

All of this.

"I Quit Playing Already"

No need to elaborate, or give a diatribe. Really no need to even post that you did.

Physical characteristics dont not condone people to a certain role. This was done in Fable and I really didnt like have a stupidly tall, bulky, guy with a bunch of runes over his body.

Attributes was just a numbers game too, and yet they have been featured in RPGs

RPG means RolePlayingGames, I see no mention of skills or how to implement them by that defintion, you just Roleplay your character.

Umm the quests were fun.
Uh the horses svcked.
Wow, ok uhh I wish my horse had a sprint meter

umm ok uhh i uh just have to uhh ask.. why would you include "umm" and "uhh" when you write? unless you are using some kind of advanced voice recognizing writing tool for handicapped people but then HOW are you playing the game when you don't have any arms?

I can understand being dissappointed despite reviews the game is severely flawed, but how can anyone like oblivion more? Oblivion is easily the worst TES game and most overrated RPG this gen.

Why do I have this distinct feeling you abused Smithing, put the game on novice and used Lydia to tank everything? <_<

You're right, it is essentially the same game, it's just improved enough to where it's worth playing. :/

Ideally, this is what Oblivion should have been, and in a better world Skyrim would be something more mind blowing altogether with a lot more advancements. With Oblivion, I think it's the fact that they were working with a new engine. Sort of the same thing that happened to Neverwinter Nights. They had this awesome new engine and they were like, "Uh, what do?" and we all know how that turned out.

You should also get over stats. Playing both games, I noticed little difference in how my character felt. A mage is still a mage is still a mage. Don't matter if they have 90 INT or not, they're still surviving with their spells. The only place stats are important is in PnP games because you have to have a solid basis to emulate combat on, therefore you're given stats to determine how combat plays out. In a game where most calculations happen behind the scenes, you really don't need all of those figures.

What do you mean No hand-to-hand? I know you can brawl in taverns and you don't have to use a weapon. Do you mean that it isn't an improvable skill any longer?

I didn't smith at all, Played on master and never used a companion because I used a 2-Handed Axe and every time one of those morons ran infront of me I killed them in 1 slice.

So the solution is to balance it properl;y, weapons degraded too fast in OB, so instead of making a cleaver system where you either have the perk or pay a smith to do it, they go the lazy route and take it out.................... typical. If done properly you would not be going back every 5 mins.

Exactly. Hand-to-Hand not being an improvable skill = 1 entire less playstyle (monk). Or brusier ect. I know people who only enjoy magic, only enjoy archery, only enjoy swords. I'm not as bad as them but in TES I am a Hand-To-Hand mother [censored]. this game robbed me of that.
