Race Help?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 11:43 am

I need help with making this decision. I need to make a good char with a lot of magicka and good conjuration, but he needs to be able to use heavy armor and blunt weapons and blades. I've narrowed it down to altmer and breton, but I cant make a decision. Can someone please help?

I have played the altmer before but the weakness to magic can be hard on a low level character, so I would go with Breton unless you fancy a challenge

Male Bretons start with the normal 40 Strength, females and Altmer start with 30. It's switched for Endurance -- male Altmer start with 40, the rest start with 30. Altmer get 40 Agility though, Bretons just 30.

I've yet to try Altmer just because of their magic weakness.

I tried an altmer out once. I got to level 20 in a few hours. Their weakness to magic really makes it dangerous to be around spellcasters as an altmer. Still, altmer have the best amount of magicka and can deal great amounts of damage with their spells(repeatedly)

You made a good choice. Breton's are arguably the strongest race in the game. So many good bonuses and the low starting Endurance is easily fixed in the first 10 levels.

I only really play imperials. There are no bonuses, but they make good knights and warriors. They also remind me of the Romans.
