Race problem.

I just downloaded the Excellent Dremora race mod, and all the files (Everything) went into my Morrowind\Data Files folder, so I tried it but it wont work. Apparently it's not the mod it the location of the files, which I can understand. Inside said Morrowind\Data Files, is and empty folder, actually a few, possibly from other race mods I've downloaded.. Anyway so there's an empty folder called... Data Files. So when you open it, it goes Morrowind\Data Files\Data Files, and you end up with an empty folder at the end. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to put all of the files from the Dremora mod into this empty folder? Or delete it... or move it.. Or whatever.. My end question is.. Where are all the files (including the Plugin file) supposed to be? I'm confused, because it's pretty much my first time figuring out mods, and the Better Bodies and World of Faces and Advanced Combat worked out fine, and I'm pretty sure they're in the Morrowind\Data Files. At least the Plugin file thing is. Ahh this is confusing at first! Please anyone help? Hah. I feel dumb. :sadvaultboy:

You can delete the empty folder Morrowind\Data Files\Data Files. It's probably a residual of a failed install of a mod. No mod ever tries to access a Data Files folder within the regular Data Files folder.

There are several Dremora mods out there (or the same mod packaged differently), so I'm not sure which one you got. If you give us the link from where you got the mod, we can give you detailed instructions on how to unpack it. Usually though you'd just check whether the archive contains a "Data Files" folder - if yes, copy that folder into your Morrowind directory. Otherwise, if there are folder called "meshes", "textures" etc. in the archive, or just esp/esm files, mark all files and folders in the archive and copy them into Morrowind\Data Files. If there's a mixture of esp, nif, and dds files in the archive, then you have to manually sort them into the folders they belonmg to, but that's rare for finished mods.
