We know one thing;

The Nords are going to absolutely hate the imperials, for I speculate a civil war is going on in Skyrim. But other then that? We can only assume from previous lore. And previous games; so we can tell the Nord's aren't so hateful of Orcs if they are going to accept Orc Mercenaries. amirite?

But I don't know if the Nords hate Dunmer...the only hatred I particularly know is towards the Empire and the Imperials.

Eh, I see it more as the nords hate mer, and will likely have rough relations with imperials.

Could you see an Imperial power trying to influence skyrim and the natives fighting back?

And of course the Dunmer don't like, well, anyone. Especially Ashlanders like my character...but my character's a little more accepting 'cause his grandmother was a Breton. :)

I'd imagine that the Dunmer will not be popular, but for entirely new reasons. In the past, they had border disputes with the Nords, but now it seems that most of their race has been reduced to refugee status. I'd expect the Dunmer to be mostly rogues and mercenaries, or alternatively beggars in the eastern part of the province.

That's more or less my own Ashlander Dunmer character's back story.

With my main being a khajiit, I want to be hated by the Dunmer. It was one of the many reasons that made playing a khajiit worthwhile in MW. ^_^

Khajiit are actually one race that my Ashlander doesn't have prejudices against; a Khajiit named J'Zahn practically raised him after the death of his parents. :)

Sadly if you read my character's backstory you'll find the exact opposite . Yours seems like a cool backstory. Wish I could read more.

I think races should hold prejudices' and favoritism for same races of the same species i.e. the humans, the elves, and the beast folk. Maybe something deeper than that.

I suspect an argonian will be a rare sight due to their cold blood, and many misconceptions might be made about them will exist in Skyrim.

Most argonians will at least be in the south.

Nord 1: I just saw a lizard man the other day, I wonder if they can breathe fire?

Nord 2: "We should be careful around those lizard folk might be in league with those dragons we've been hearing about. Might be their spys or masters or some such."

Yeah...there is no way in hell an argonian will be in southern Skyrim (along with eastern). That area is all mountain and snow at very high altitudes. If anything, an argonian would be at a greater comfort level if it was in northern or western Skyrim, where it is not all snow and is closer to sea level. Also, everyone knows argonians are marsh dwellers. If anything, they're carrying really bad diseases and poisons!

I didn't read up on the geography.

Sorry.....

I figure the more south you go eventually it gets hotter.

Well until you get to the equato-whatever they use for a line of latitude.

How well has lore described the rotation/position of the planet/nirn?

I think Dunmer will be a rare breed in Skyrim. Their homeland was all but wiped out, and I don't think there is a way in hell that the proud Dunmer will allow themselves to be reduced to beggars, refugees and overall second-class citizens. If anything, they'll be smugglers, bandits, mercs, or maybe just suicidal warriors. I can already see encountering a former Ordinator wandering around in the snow, begging for someone to kill him in honorable battle.
