Personally I'd like the not very realistic to be implemented, but definitely (IMO) cool option of specifying not only your race but your ancestry as well. Imperials would get Nibenese and Colovians; Bretons - Iliac, Reachmen, maybe the Bjoulsae Horse-People mentioned in some book in OB (or I think it was OB); Redguards - Crown and Forebear; Nords - Reach and Eastern; Dunmer - Ashlander and House; Orcs - Cosmopolitan and Wrothgar; Khajiiti - different species, or maybe just nomad and urban if they keep it one species per game (as they probably will). Not too big on Altmer, Bosmer and Argonians, but I'm sure there are distinct groups within those races. Descriptions are broad enough to leave a lot of room for the player, doesn't even mean the PC is from the specified region, just that his ancestors hail from there. It'd give you some differing skill bonuses, some difference in appearance (say, Nibenese tattoos and a bit more Nordic look for Colovians, while Reachmen would be more elvenlike than Iliac Bretons) and maybe disposition changes inside your own race if there was some way to tie it to more obvious displays of your ancestry in your appearance (Colovians and Nibenese don't like each other that much; Crown and Forebear Redguards seem to downright hate each other). However, it'd probably be quite a lot of work for a none too major feature, so as I said, I don't have much hope of seeing this in the game.
