Generally, Argonians and Khajiit are hated among Men and Mer... Do you think the Beast races will be denied services, goods, and/or quests because of their looks in Skyrim?

I think it is a good thing because it adds flavor and realism. I mean it would be pretty hard to treat a half-lizard creature as an equal

you phrase the poll s if we know, not what we want to have o.O. and you should ad mer to that aswell. the nords think very little of the mer considering they.....something. ill go back and read the wiki, i know that between humans and men war were declared and they dont like eachother.

EDIT: and i voted yes, i think there should be racism. fantasy is about understanding baisc raw human behavior. thats why racism againsts ghouls is so interesting in fallout 3.
bioware does racism very well, with elves being looked down on in dragon age, and HUMANS being looked down on in masseffect. aswell as stero types for races such as qur.....quar....quarians? being seen as poor and theify, or volus being capitalistic.

I am looking forward to walking into a village and hearing everyone talking trash because a lone Argonian wandered through the village and they are frightened by his looks.

Anyway there should be different treatment against non-nords in general
Especially against Argonians and Imperials (lizards for conquering Morrowind, imperials because rebellion movement)

I asked the same question in the Sammu thread but about elves. Nords hate elves because of their wars and what not. I like the idea of a tavern brawl starting over your race or whatever but I wouldn't like price hikes or locked off content.

Nah, I don't think Bethesda would do it. Much like an Argonian could join the Redoran/Telvanni houses and still rise through the ranks, just like any other race, as ironic as it would be.

I would love to be sitting in a tavern and join a conversation with a friend and suddenly have some other guy bud in (Yes multiple people can converse at once with you involved this time around) and he would be drunk and mocking my friend or myself and saying racist things, then i get up and punch him in the face and the tavern turns into a giant brawl.

I wanna roll an Argonian supremicist Rogue who murders all non Argonians in the entire world that he encounters :hubbahubba:

Changes in disposition and snide remarks are all I envision. Actually affecting quests/gameplay would be a serious drawback to playing anything but a Nord.

Yeah I remember that too which is why I've been interested about what that entails. I usually play as a High elf. But if I get an inkling of them being really unfair to me for that I'll wipe out the town in question and start a Nord character

Why?
There could be quests also unavailable for Nords.
For example Imperial espionage for Imperials (surprise isn't it?)
Some moon sugar smuggling for Khajiit
etc.

i mean ... i think skyrim will be more fighting and tension than any other ES before ... i think alot of issues and history is going to be coming out and will be basicly every man or "beast reptillian" for themselves ... i dont think it will be about race ... i think will be about the fact that all of ES is in caos cause of the dragons, and who is to truthfully being blamed as causing all these dragons to have apierd
i do think that reptillians are the actual blame for the dragons tho .. and as a result i will have to say yes ... they need to have some reward for all this mess that is and only can be blamed on .. yep ... you guessed it ... argonians did cause this ...

what other race other then the reptilian, shapeshifting, morphing, argonians are there that you can say has caused most ... if not ALL of the problems in the entire ES series combined?

Think of it as a racial penalty. You walk inside a tavern and they refuse to serve your kind. It would definitely make the roleplaying a little more serious, if that's what you're into.

Seriously, i don't expect anything but racial disposition modifiers like in Oblivion; some races like some races, and don't like some at all. I doubt there'll be loud and obnoxious racists, and even if there are you propably can count them with fingers of one hand and have plenty to spare :hehe:
