Radio New Vegas vs. Galaxy News Radio

Post » Thu Apr 23, 2009 2:24 am

You are aware that New Vegas was developed by some of the same people that developed the originals, aren't you?

Is it any more overkill than Three Dogs' performance was in FO3?

I think they did most things better in New Vegas. Bethesda did a few things better in FO3, but that's not for this thread.

1. Yes, I know Obsidian was created from the ashes of Black Isle. What does that have anything to do about it?

2. Okay, you got me there. <_<

3. I agree.

Black mountain radio is funny to listen to especially when you start climbing the mountain and they order the nightkin to attack :P

Where is mr new vegas? is he even alive?

3 dog is good but it sometimes got annoying.

so that just means that the Rocket launch radio in new vegas wins :D......jk

Three Dog was great.

FNV, I'm not a fan of country music so I usually keep the radio off when out in the wastes. When in the city, I might turn it on but very rarely since there's music coming at you from the buildings anyway.

I love Three Dog. He's epic. The songs in GNR were epic as well.

Mr. New Vegas puts me to sleep. And the country/western music really isn't my cuppa' joe.

Oh man, I hated three dog, I couldn't even listen to GNR until he had an 'accident'.

Mr New Vegas was boring but at least he wasn't annoying. God I hated three dog...

As for the songs, no comparison, New Vegas' are far superior, a couple I don't hugely enjoy but I like the rest.

Mr. New Vegas is a computer or AI that Mr. House...I think made...to DJ (or something) Radio New Vegas. He is not a person, I think.

Personally even as New Vegas had Wayne Newton holding it down I much preferred Three Dog. I had a personal like for him. He brought good personality. That's not putting down Radio New Vegas though. I just had a brighter opinion of him.

As for the songs, you could argue Fallout 3's choice of music didn't fit the area.

But what would? A similar argument was the mix of music in GTA IV whereas Vice City had more of a set tone to it.

That's the point. Places like New York aren't necessarily bound to a certain associable vibe of music as country might make someone instantly think of Texas or another state, usually in a very stereotypical way(Which I condone)

There was a lack of songs in New Vegas though. The sound director or whatever his official title may be, mentioned in an interview or behind the scenes video that there were less songs put in than he would of liked.

Most likely due to budget(and liscensing) constraints. Mentioned the next Fallout most likely had more songs.

The music is up to preference. I liked both Fallout 3 and NVs music compilations. Of coarse 3's plate of songs kind of fits much of it's rehashed ideas of the story from 1 and 2.

But yeah, preferred Erik Dellums to ol Wayne in the long term. No offense to Mr. Newton of coarse.

the vote says it all, just another area of fallout new vegas thats boring, however tabitha and black mountain radio is pretty funny, i always leave tabitha alive so i can hear the dialogue, it is classic, almost as good as galaxy new radio, the music in FO3 was good, except for that butcher pete song.

I like the country style of the mojave radio, this coming from a guy who can't stand country.(i honest to god hate it). As per announcers three dog is definetly the best, love that guy, could never bring myself to kill him for his awsome shades and amazing head wrap.

I stole his shades and head wrap and gave him T-45d Power Armor and Helmet instead. Now he sounds wierd. Its all about reverse pickpocket.

Honestly as they are in a vanilla game GNR, then MR New Vegas.

In FO3 the songs were a wider selection and had more kick to them imo.

However Three Dog got too repetitive, Mr NV is flat, nuetral and short in speech.. if the radio was not bugged and had more songs it'd be great.

I prefered FO3's music, I prefer Mr. NV as a radio host, but my favorite radio station is Talon Company Radio: "For Mercs, By Mercs."

"Given the situation, I had to make a hard choice when I created Utobitha! Do we invite weak, greedy humans, who would just die anyway, or cute, lovable centaurs, who fight and die for us and ask nothing in return?!..................After much deliberation, I went with the centaurs."
