Radio New Vegas vs. Galaxy News Radio

What radio station do you like the best? The one in Fallout 3, or New Vegas?
And what radio host do you like the best? And why?

I enjoy the Music in New Vegas better.

Mr. New Vegas is annoying but Three Dog is alot worse, loud and annoying.

RNV and Mr New Vegas hands down. GNR's music was pretty good...except for :gun: Butcher Pete, but New Vegas' music has really grown on me.

I got so annoyed at 3-dog that he often found himself sampling just how terrible the Terrible Shotgun was.

Mr New Vegas is a proper, dapper host of news and music, and most importantly, he doesn't go "THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWGGGGG" every three mins.

Unfortunately I found both radios lacking. There's just not enough songs (I know, budget problems and all. Don't have to tell me).

As for hosts, Mr. New Vegas is all "ladieeees" which doesn't appeal to me at all and Three Dog is just too damn loud instead of funny (or humorous even).

Lol, that's werid. I've always liked GNR and Three Dog the most. Every time i heard that "HAI KEDZ, IT'S THREE DAAAAWG!!" my face turned ":D".

And i think the songs in FO3 is unbeatable. There was no songs that i hated. Opposite to RNV...

Three Dog: A guy who yells every 3.5 mins
Mr. New Vegas: A guy who is cool and doesn't yell at all, he sounds better than 3 dog

Radio New Vegas: Just overall better songs, and when they play over and over again, they are actually not annoying.
GNR: Songs are still good, but when they play over and over again, they get annoying.

Yes bother were lacking but at least 3 Dog is way more entertaining that Mr New Vegas. Mr New Vegas had no personality to him at all. While 3 Dog is annoying at times, he had his moments, and he had Personality. Mr NV just seems lacking, and dull.

I do like the music better in NV though.

I do like the music better in NV though.

It doesn't matter if there's many songs, but if the songs are good. And they mostly are. But yes, a radio station IRL probably would have more songs than that. And then again, probably not, if the world got destroyed in a nuclear war.

GNR has "Maybe", so I chose it. But jeez, 3 Dog is the most annoying preaching a-hole ever.

Three dog got really annoying after the first couple playthroughs, so I just started shooting him after completing his quest. His replacement was better, except for her calling me an [censored] for shooting the dj...hell the way I figure it, I should've been given a medal for it.

It does matter when you play six hours straight. I mostly end up turning off the radio out of sheer frustration. I mean yeah the songs are good, they're bloody great but when I hear the same song 4 times in 30 minutes my mind goes astray. I start dissecting the song to every riff, chord and note. I was going to play the game, not take an ear training class.

Three Dog: Pure awesomeness.

Mr. NV: Pure awesomeness (but with a pinch of legendary)

GNR: Great songs but tedious re-runs.

RNV: Great songs but western-style just doesn't belong in Fallout.

New Vegas is in the west, and in the desert...the Mojave to be exact, so yes, western style does fit with the theme just the same as Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra do.

Exactly my point. Fallout 1 and 2 were in the West but Fallout: New Vegas just didn't do it right. The whole cowboy thing is overkill.

You are aware that New Vegas was developed by some of the same people that developed the originals, aren't you?

Is it any more overkill than Three Dogs' performance was in FO3?

I think they did most things better in New Vegas. Bethesda did a few things better in FO3, but that's not for this thread.

I prefer GNR because it's more rustic and 'Americana'

RNV is great, but it could have done alot better in my opinion. (Largely in the writing and selection of music)

Edit @ Barret- You're point? Just because it's a small fraction of old interplay/ black isle devs doesn't mean their vision is the 'right' way.

Enclave radio beats all.

No seriously I really liked the addition of the patriotic songs and the stirring speeches by the good president.

But between RNV and GNR I'd have to go with GNR. There isn't any songs on GNR that make me grind my teeth (like "Mad About the Boy" and "Johnny Guitar").
