I'm pretty impressed.

Not the same type of game but also a gap of three
years, a longer development cycle, and a company known for fps rather than massive open world rpgs. So it has to be a better fps experience than fallout but a better rpg or open world game I think not

Edit: @ pengun, don't be so high and mighty with your foreign developed games. Stalker was actually rather easy, in fact before even learning the controls I beat that bandit mission. Difficulty is relative and really not a benchmark of a quality game.

I don't know. First of all FO3 is among my 10 favourite games of all time so it's not easy for a game to beat it IMO Second I don't think these can be compared because although they share a post apolyptic setting and FPS gameplay, FO3 is an RPG, unlike Rage.

I'm sure RAGE's shooter gameplay will be largely superior, same with graphics, animations etc...storywise I have no idea. HOWEVER I doubt it will be better as a whole package, I mean FO3 is a game you can play wll over +100, 500 even 1000 hours; while Rage will probably last for a good while but nowhere near as long :shrug: Still I'm really excited for Rage, and is one of my most antipated games this year.

Rage is an open world style FPS. id have said that you'll always know what you have to do next (which suggests it's a series of levels) but if you want to explore then you can.

I'm quite looking forward to it, although a recent gameplay video they released (Dead City, I think), did look really linear. Lots of mutants popping up, and no doubt quite scary, but there looked to be only one path through.

I may be wrong, but it's definitely not an RPG, so comparing it to Fallout is a bit redundant.

STALKER is beast, but yuo have to understand, it is hard, harder than hard, American games on hard are pretty much a cakewalk when compared to STALKER.

I expect the cross platform version called 2 to be easier though.

Also shouldn't this be in the RAGE forums?
