I don't even know how you could debate getting Rage over Skyrim.

Anybody care to tell me what the big hype is over Rage? I look at it like I look at Brink. Likely a generic FPS. And I already play COD so that genre has been filled in my gaming library.

I am serious when I say I'd like to know what the big hype is about Rage. links? gameplay footage?

Only heard about it a few weeks ago whenever that Bethesda Newsletter hit.

I will be waiting for both to be released so I can learn more about them before I make a purchase. I sort of started to lose interest in TES after Oblivion because it culled most of the things I like about RPGs out of the gameplay. I'll be taking a long, hard, look at post-release feedback of Skyrim before I consider buying it.

Rage looks really cool, and I have a lot of respect for iD Software. That said, I didn't enjoy Doom 3 too much...it was too repetitive for me.

If I were to choose one of the two to buy sight-unseen it would probably be Rage, only because I don't have a lot of faith in the direction Bethesda has been taking its RPGs. Hopefully Skyrim will change that for me.

It's a good thing Doom 4 will be absolutely amazing.

I hope.

At the very least, I want Rage released so that id can focus on Doom 4.

I am planning on getting both games close to launch.

I will get Skyrim on release, and Rage when it lowers to about $30.

But seriously, the only thing i know about Rage is that it's not Doom 4 (:stare:), so i'll decide on that once it has been released. Skyrim however is an assured buy.

Skyrim. If I could have only one game for the rest of this gen it would be Skyrim.

I'll have both in time. I rarely buy a game on release day anymore. Too expensive. But when the prices drop, I'll be getting both.

I can't imagine anyone would be struggling with that choice.

They are such different games with entirely different target markets.

Good point, these games are apple n oranges. If they were in a similar genre, we'd have something to debate.

And also, though this is BGS fan talk, what game is really even going to come close to topping skyrim this year? IMO, the games is pretty much sure to be GOTY, and likely to be one of the best selling RPGs of this generation. The fact that a player will likely get hundreds of hours out of skyrim also makes it a good buy for the price.

RAGE is looking pretty weak to me. The guns have no sense of handling or recoil, the world looks pretty lackluster in the map design department. I could go on.

There's nothing similar about these games other than the publisher. So why all the comparing? I'll still get both.

Rage isn't even on my radar.

My big dilemma is MW3 or Skyrim. I love TES, but I really want to see what happens with the whole US invasion part of MW... not to mention online is going to be a blast when it comes out.

Wow....... just wow.MW2 left me with very little hope for COD other than 3 I think it was the worst of the series.

I don't care that everyone on this forum disagrees with me, but Blops was my favorite story, then the MW's. I used to not like COD at all, but after not playing any games for almost a year I love it now lol. MW3 will only be really fun at launch, Skyrim will be awesome whenever.

I'd choose the both option, but I'm not planning to get RAGE, i'm going to buy Forza 4.
