I just killed the dragon priest Rahgot and he didn't drop his mask? In fact all he dropped was a bone meal. I am about to reload and go through the entire area again and hopefully this time he drops it. Is there a problem with NPCs dropping items as well?

I think theres a quest related to his mask there should be a guy around with name like valir or something along those lines i found him before i wemt in the place hes dressed like an imperial as far as i can remember it was lile 30 hours ago of gamplay tho so not 100%

I have the quest, tried killing him again and he still didn't drop his mask and fighting him this time I noticed he was casting electricity magic and not fire like he is supposed to which leads me to believe the game isn't even spawning Rahgot but some other dragon priest I have already killed....I am going to be relatively angry if reloading a save file from before I got this quest at all doesn't fix the problem as I will not be able to get all the eight dragon priest masks. The number of bugs in this game is astounding, I have had far more problems with bugs in Skyrim than I did in Morrowind and Oblivion combined, way to go Bethesda way to go.

WTF I Just reloaded a save from before I got the quest, got the quest again, went through the area a 3rd time and this time the dragon priest didn't even spawn a druagr death overlord spawned from the coffin in his stead......I guess im just screwed as far as the mask's and that quest go, awesome.

I dont know what to say man are you searching the ash pile or rahgots remains

I noticed one dragon priest would give me jus bone meal on the ash pile but his armor shirt thing when searched would give me the staff and mask but idk could be me i got all maska before 1.2

The ash pile and the dragon priest's armor share loot and I tried them both, I think I may have found the problem in the wiki it says you encounter Rahgot in the Refectory but the dragon priest I was fighting was in the crypts, I haven't even went into the Refectory yet. It seems the game was just randomly spawning a dragon priest in that room for some random reason, I can only hope this is the case and I am still able to get the mask in the Refectory.


EDIT: This would also explain why when I went through after I reloaded a previous save there was a Druagr Death Overlord in the coffin instead, because he is probably supposed to be in there to begin with.

No problem, I didn't know you could run into dragon priests without masks I was freaking out there lol.

Ye man after i had the 8 i came across another dragon priest i almost pissed myself i thought i was gona get a secret mask but nope a staff i have 4 of already 150 coin and bone meal

Rahgot should have a mask, but not all dragon priests have masks. If you can get the chance to get up close to them when fighting you can tell if they have a mask or not.
