[RELz] Raider Power Armor - Male Armor Added

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 6:20 am

Adds two new suits of armor. Raider Power Armor and Raider Power Armor MRK II. Future releases will include mesh updates and a male version of the armors, right now I can't seem to make a working male model.

Fixed that. Male models now available. I'll also be adding it to the leveled lists in a separate ESP.

Where to find stuff in game.
===========================
There are two screenshots showing where to find items. Those should suffice. Both armors can be found

inside the Springvale School
.

MRK I armor are in the boss's chamber. The lock level to get in that room is average, so you may have trouble getting in there. The MRK II Armor is in the basemant at the end of the caves.

You've probably already know how so I'm not gonna bother with this part.

2 questions.

1] where'd raiders get power armor training.
2] since when are raiders smart enough to build power armor/modify it.

Otherwise, very nice job.

oh, it doesn't require power armor training. Power Armor Training wasn't in the original fallout and I'll be dammed if I do it for my mods. It's regular armor with a strength and speed boost.

Plus, raiders aren't a bunch of dumbasses, they're actually quite intelligent. Besides, the armor has a downside as it wasn't designed by pros.

Oh, I didn't bother with that. This isn't something the average raider would have on them.

They trapped a behemoth in an electrified fence, and then built a town around it thats maybe a little bigger than megaton. They might not be clever, and a little crazy too, but they get things done.

Really really cool armor. I was hoping for more Reaver/raider type armors and this fits exactly! Thanks for making this!

And ditto 'bout the power armor training. Screw it.

Nice. Works well with the Tribal T-51b Helmet too!

Love the results though. Gotta say though, the Mark I's got only one glaring problem to me: The right shoulderpad can be seen through when it probably shouldn't. I think this is a result of removing the plate under the top shoulderpad.

In any case, hope you can get the male versions working!

Wow! I had my doubts about whether this could turn out well, but it did!

I like em... And I agree, raiders aren't stupid. They're savage, yes... and untrained... but surely there would be a smith or two out there. They have plenty of (stolen) supplies to tinker with, and if nothing else they could kidnap an armorer and make him work. It's not like they have a manufacturing plant... the armor is clearly spikes and crap welded onto piecemeal scraps. What's so unbelievable?

It looks cool, and fits the theme, visually IMO.

EDIT:

Ok, installed it, got both armors.... both are invisible. I just copy/pasted the meshes and texture folders into my data folder... are you sure you packaged it right?

Nevermind I missed the part about not having male version -_-

Yea... dude... sorry about that. Good news comes now though. I've finally figured out how to solve the problem I've been having, so I can make male versions of the meshes. I've already finished one, and am working on the other.

Well if I liked you this mod would be pretty neat. OK, more seriously...awesome work, I mean...That is some wicked "collaging" you did there, kudos. I eagerly await the male versions!

Also, I'd like (with your permission) to release your mod that integrates these into raider leveled lists (once you get male versions done), assuming you aren't going to do it yourself.

Again, nice work, I wish I had even half your talent for getting armors put together ^_^

EDIT: If I may add a tad of personal preference, the arm guards a tad long. I'd like to see em reduced in size a bit (by half would be ideal). Obviously, feel free to ignore my request, just saying ;)

I can find textures and meshes for males...
Is it really not finnished?

Nevermind I found textures but not Meshes

Also, I have already changed it on my version so that there is a 1/40 chance for it to appear on high level raiders. (In my version)
Although my raiders have significantly more armour than everyone else so I believe it would be like 1/10 if it was used with anyone elses game...
If anyone has any ideas as to what % they would like it to be I could really quickly make it.

Maybe instead of 10 different people doing this...we can beg Martigen to put this in his next release of MMMF?

Just a thought

Martigen does not tackle adding any weapon or armour content.

I personally love the arm-plates...quite insect-chic if i do say so myself ;p
Not sure I could picture more generic PA suiting the design of the raiders, but this is quite perfect.

I don't mind the long armplates, I see them serving a dual function, when the arm is held straight,
the plate protects the entire back of the arm, and when the arm is bent it could be used as a weapon

But yea, I agree with everyone else who suggested, add it to the raiders leveled list

First of all that is awesome work!

Second: maybe we should work on making a Reaver mod or get them into MMM. More info on them:
