Raider Terminals

I know it adds some more depth and backstory to exploring but does anyone else find it odd that these savage raiders take the time to write down their frickin life storys and [censored] on all these terminals which conveniently often implicate them in some form or other yet being apparently quite literate ( in real life a lot of "normal" people cant spell for [censored] for whatever reason) they cant even grow some crops but know how to set up turrets and computers...

Apparently you have raiders and super mutants mixed up.

Raiders are normal people... they just raid people instead of taking the time to build their own farm. Take what they need by force.

Look at it from their perspective - whats more important? Setting up defence turrets for their badass raider lair of phat loot, or learning how to grow corn that they would steal anyways? They have their priorities in order TBH.

The main problem would be that after all this time most likely there would be very few literate people left. They might have to learn how to set up turrets and stuff but reading and writing wouldn't be a necessary life skill like it is today.
