Fiends alone would destroy those pesky impostors.

NV raiders seems to be more organized(Vipers, Khans etc.) too....

Now that is a tough choice as the CW Raiders are bigger in number but aren't organized. Although the Fiends have better weaponry they are drugged up most of the time so thats going to hurt them strategy wise.

I'll give it to the Capital Wasteland Raiders but not by much 51%-49%.

CW raiders sound like actual nasty mean people, voice acting-wise, while the Fiends... don't.

As opposed to CW raiders who are cannibalistic savages and pretty much same in the "I am so [censored] up dude!" lifestyle like the Fiends?

Great Khans powah!
Chance alone would make a short work of 'em, that's for sure.

Please refer yourself to the Fiend called Violet and the sheer amount of human flesh used to feed her dogs or listen to the charming story of [censored] from one of the 1st Recon Troopers or to the massacred population of Vault 3.

This battle wouldn't involve any of the Khans or the, well, more than pathetic Vipers by the way.

I seen at least two CW raiders with a missilelauncher and and quite a few actually using grenades.
So yep my money on the CW. :nuke:
Now if we where talking theme and story NV would rack up points.

What level CW raiders are we talking about because that makes a big difference.

New Vegas would win. FO3 they are just generic bad guys and only attack in small groups. New Vegas there are the fiends, vipers, jackels and powder gangers. They are better armed, organized and often attack in numbers of four or more.

CW raiders. Simply they have huge numbers and they have more boss characters, while fiends are pretty good equiped but really arent that powerful with their ouposts made from 7 fiends and one vault. CW wins believe me.

Gotta throw my support to the NV Raiders, they seem more organized than their CW counterparts.

Lets make this strait its the Fiends and the Raiders. The Khans are a bit to evolved to be called raiders and the vipers are way to pathetic to even be a contender.

The CW raiders do have stuff like flame throwers, R91 assault rifle which was roughly equal to the 10mm SMG, combat shot guns and on occasion a missile launcher. So I'd say there similarly equipped the few with missile launchers on the CW side would probably make up for the few with energy weapons on the Fiend side. Their armor is identical so its a tie there.

In the end there basically the same guys its like asking who would win in a fight in a molerat vs a molerat.

Well, the ranged Fiends can be found equipped with Hunting Rifles, Laser RCW, Laser Rifles, Plasma Rifles, Lever-Action Shotguns, Grenade Rifles, Varmint Rifles and even Flamers.
They're also pumped on drugs (nothing says the CW raiders aren't too, though) and they seem more organized. I'd put my money on the Fiends.

They are very unorganized, it doesn't matter if one has a rocket launcher (which I have never seen), if you got 3 CW Raiders (by the way I have never seen more then 3 raiders at once in Fallout 3), VS the 5 or 6 Powder Gangers that were in Goodsprings, its obvious the Powder Gangers would win, besides the CW Raiders seem to run away most of the time.

Have you been to Evergreen Mills? They managed to capture a behemouth and there's a freaking fat man in there. . .

CW raiders also use mines (Rock salt's lair), flamers, explosive collars, and combined defensive nests of turrets and missile launchers (extreme south - bridge near the library as an example). I remember running into one with a mini-gun as well, though he could have scavenged that from a dead mutant or BoS knight.

NV Fiends (Jackals and Vipers were a joke) have energy weapons but they always seem to be of poor quality (bosses excluded). I do not remember them ever using mines or a turret. . .though I didn't probe deeply into Vault 3.

I'd give the Fiends a slight edge if the battle occurred out in the open, but the CW raiders have more tactical defensive positions and would probably slaughter them if they were defending. (very nerdish, I know).

Since I'm nearly invincible in the CW, I'll go with the fiends and their energy weapons.

Really? I always kicked their asses on any level. Straight from the vault to Springvale school, pop one, take his gun and ammo and start killing and looting.

Then again I never found anything other than the Reaver a challenge in FO3. Very fun but pretty easy.
