To be honest, I don't believe that I have ever purchased these from a vendor. Most of my supply is found in utility tunnels off the main metro lines, as well as wooden boxes out in the wastes.

I'd recommend just going for a wander as there are so many lying around (metro tunnels as above poster said is a good bet, although I'm pretty sure you will find them just about anywhere).

I find quite a few of them on dead Enclave. They died of old age, I swear.

:rofl: Anyway don't know any vendors but there are several large stashes of them just can't recall where.

I was trying to build a character around the railway rifle. Collected all three specs then realized there was no way to keep up a constant supply of ammo. I love this gun, just wish it was a viable weapon to go the distance.

It's still very viable. Look hard enough when scavving, they are everywhere. I just hit level 30 with my guy, and he has over 4,000 spikes at home.

I had about 1000 when I built the gun for the first time. I still have about 500. I love the gun. It makes me smile every time I shoot it. Choo-Choo
