Rain's inside buildings still.

Post » Tue Sep 20, 2011 1:52 pm

Not sure if it has already been posted or if anyone actually cares, but when it rains, it will do so in buildings with no load screen and a roof. Damn it Bethesda!

video proof. : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9ntoCxhGkw&NR=1 just look at about 3:30

It seemed a simple fix because snow lands on objects.

Wow... my good day of information reading has now officially been squashed. Thanks, Bethesda, for failing to fix something that's been in your games since Morrowind!! Urgh... :banghead:

EDIT: Wait, are you sure it's actually been confirmed or are you just looking at something from an alpha build? 0.o

Technically tis something really hard to do anyway, lots of math, and computational power (definitely too much for xbox to handle :flamethrower: )

Do you end up spending your CPU cycles tracing the path of every water droplet? or the volume where rain isn't hitting? its like a whole another shadow calculation.

No, I didn't miss it. I don't think I posted in any particular thread regarding this but I read like five pages of one. Still, I didn't think there were any confirmation on the matter from Bethesda as of yet, which I thought this thread was about. Unless there has been? I'm pretty sure there is none, though.

Granted, I actually only read the title... that is where I erred. Heh, I see now that I am seriously mistaken! Thankfully, no doubt.

I think folk are building their hopes on that being an alpha build, not wise in my opinion, you maybe setting yourself up for disappointment.

They've been using the same alpha ever since the first gameplay footage was released. Prove me wrong or cease to spread your nonsense.

You all sure it is old? That was what a couple of days ago. It may be though, because in another video the giant still plummets like a rock. Of this same series.

New engine anything my eye. its ok though because even when this appears in the finish game its likely everyone here sayings it Alpha build implying they hope its fixed, will revert to meh it doesnt bother me.

2 things

1 E3 and Pax are the latest builds

2 you really think They are going to let people play publically with glaring "errors" like rains through buildings? get use to it now, because its staying there.

It's been confirmed several times that the gameplay video Todd uses to show off Skyrim is still in the alpha stage of development. Even once in a video that I am currently trying to find.

September 12th was last week. It's the 20th in some territories. The HD footage was released last Monday. Threads popped up almost immediately about this.

Yes don't worry. Even the voice acting in the demo wasn't final, just a 'place holder' as described by Todd. I'm sure the final build will be excellent.

As posted earlier by someone else, I'm sure I won't care if it's in. I highly doubt they haven't fixed it, but if they don't it's not really a game-breaker.

I'm so tired of uninformed people posting about [censored] that was news 8 months ago, that has absolutely no credibility right now.
