Raising the level cap again would be nice

Post » Wed Oct 28, 2009 1:52 am

I hope in Honest Heart (IF it's the next dlc) will once again raise the level cap.
That would be really great from the devs!

The constant leveling and XP gain gives a good motivation to keep playing.
But really it's not the end of the world if it's not included

Why would someone need to be that powerful?

it's not just about being ''powerful'', it's the constant leveling that I enjoy.

That's not my point. Your character would become unstoppable.

I don't see a point, honestly. By level 30 you can already take on anything in the Mojave; the level cap increase in Dead Money was overkill in my honest opinion... this is to say nothing about raising the cap again in a future DLC.

I'm with you, but I'd rather see leveling slowed down than the cap raised. 35 is more than enough for me, though I understand wanting more.

How about a 'Slow Learner' Perk?

If they raise it again, they will need to bring in the albino scorpions etc.

If it gets any higher the character isn't going to be challenged by anything, and due to the lack of a random spawn system you can't just add in Albino Radscorpions, Super Mutant Overlords and Feral Ghoul Reaver equivalents.

I would like to see a single level increase just to round it off so you get a perk at the last level. Being level 40 will mean we're going to start seeing characters with their skills all maxed out possibly. It's already dangerously close with Dead Money, in my opinion, so it's either a single level for a perk or no more.

Yes to +5 more levels but only if they release new enemies into the world and have new perks as well.

The problem is that the lack of a random spawn system ensures that even if you put new monsters into the world to challenge Level 35-40 players there is no way to ensure the player encounters them consistently so as actually to be challenged somewhat like in FO3.

Meh, Albino Radscorpions and Overlords do pretty decent damage, gonna have to disagree with you on that one.

+1 to level up, because it's a way to max out more skills. Yes, i'm munchkin.

But game really lacks higher level enemies. Deathclaws and cazadors are quiet tough, especially on hardcoe (due to uncurable poison bug), but most others aren't a problem even on top difficulties. Only real problem is ammo weight and weapons repair (repair kit bug is really annoying, isn't it really so hard to fix or no one bothers with it because bugfixes don't cost money for players?).

Dead Moneyes Level cap extension was unneccasary. Want to add new perks to the level system? Sure go for it. But making a character a God as mandatory in an RPG is a big no no to the fans of it's RPG aspects.

The main game has already been broken with the 35 level cap increase. The game balancing doesn't need to be steamrolled any further.

*sigh* it doesn't get fixed by adding in new enemies you know, what [censored]s up by raising the cap is the skills and perks balance.

i really dont care if they increase it again. but if they add more level up perks, then there needs to be an increase. or they could give us a way to respec.

I don't care much for extra levels, i'm already adding points to skills that i don't use.
If we get another cap raise i'll just take Mysterious Stranger and Miss Fortune.

No. I don't want more perks or skill points. If they offer levels which mere tracking my experience then I am fine.

I am actually upset by mere 5 levels because the nice balance they have achieved in main game is destroy; However, it would be fairer that all DLC increase level cap to 35.

Maybe just add new perks to the 2-30 list to encourage replayability.
