Random Attack

Bad conflicts are usually indicated by red backgrounds. Not all red backgrounds are actually conflicts with which you should concern yourself, but that is the color you'd probably want to pay the most attention to. I need to look at my LO with TES4Edit real quick to see if I can direct you toward some more relevant records. What you are really trying to do is find records where this mod interferes with vanilla guards, places where it seems to be overlapping with OOO.

Edit: Okay, I think I had you looking in the right place. What you need to do is look at faction records where you see different colored backgrounds indicating overlap. The easiest place to look would probably be the Bashed Patch, actually.

The thing is when I look in the faction section on TES4Edit, now I'm a bit colour blind (don't laugh lol) but my backgrounds are plane white, I scroll down through the different ones in the factions and there all the same.

Those are new factions (records) original to that plugin, so they do not conflict with anything. It is too bad you cannot get a response from the author. There could be a script-related issue, but those are really hard to track down. They tend to require some (Oblivion) scripting knowledge too.

Hmmm well I posted the problem there as well as you suggested so will just have to wait and see if I get a reply, so unless there's anything else you can think of I suppose the only thing I can do is disable it and continue as normal :(

If I were not so busy, I would download the plugin and check it out myself. I may yet get to it, but the author would be far more informed about the situation than either you or I.

O.O wish you had notified me, I only found this topic by doing a forum search for Return of Shadows.

The "Problem" you perceive isn't a problem at all. The Order of the Dragon are like the "Elite Guard of Tamriel". They can "sense" evil much the same as everyone seems to know you're a vampire. If they sense you near them (if they see you) and you have over 50 infamy, are in a evil faction/guild, are a vampire, have a bounty. They will attack you and notify other townguard as well as any other guards in the area.

Chances are you were a member of the Shadowknights, who they know are evil. Which made you KOS (kill on sight).

By pure chance I saw this thread at the same time I was experiencing this. I thought it was a problem with RGO or with guards in general since when it happens my assault counter goes up. Killing the Order of the Dragon member that saw me without any other guards around solved the problem quite well.

I'm wondering how 250+ infamy is attained. Even with the long mod list that I have with a thief character I can imagine getting up to fifty maybe through quests. The only viable way that I can think of to get such a high infamy is murdering the population of Cyrodiil a few times. Sounds like a fun thing to do.
