Random Crash Fix (one at least)

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 1:22 am

Hey everyone, Ive been struggling since Tuesday with the random crash to desktop error that a lot of people seem to have been getting, and I finally got mine fixed. I've tried all of the other fixes that other people have said worked for them, but they didn't work for me, so I'm sure that this won't fix everyone's problem, but it's worth a try.

How I Fixed Mine

I have an asus motherboard with built in audio that I use. At first I went to RealTek (the maker of the audio chipset) for a driver, but still crashed in the same spot.

Then I went to Asus(motherboard manufacturer), found my motherboard model in the support section,

went to the audio drivers section

then downloaded the most recent driver and installed it

then I loaded the game and was finally able to get past the spot where it always crashed and have been able to play so far. (*knock on wood)

Like I said I'm sure it won't fix everyone's problems, but if you're like I was, you're willing to try any suggestion, so maybe it'll work.

hope it helps
