Post » Fri May 27, 2011 2:22 am

anyone know whats up with the dead scientist and a skeleton hidden way back near the no-pass line of the gamemap like right in the middle of the northern most part of the map? its hidden behind some kind of container or something that is at the end of a pretty large radioactive water pool, theres a locked(average?) ammo container and some rad away and if i recall the scientist has a rad suit. some story hear?

It's just another one of the many little easter eggs the game has lying around. You'll come across many things like these. Just gives the game more character, you know?

I'm not sure about that. I am probably wrong but they have the skeletons as part of the environment so when they copy the same textures for different areas, there is a skeleton or five.

It also could be Isabella Proud. Look her up on Wiki, I helped edit that page... :)

There are no scripts or anything special attached. It seems to be just a particularly good hiding place for a skillbook.

I believe he's refering to the part a little ways from Oasis, I've been there once before. But it's a pain to find.

Yeah I have found that too. It's by the cliffs and there is a bit of water. I'm not sure of its significance, might be connected to some undocumented quests.

Makes sense.

For a game this big I am sure there were quest objects placed in the game world but for whatever reason that particular quest was not included in the final product.

Am I the only one who has trouble finding Oasis, even with a map marker?

I doubt it. The map marker marks the door, but the gully you need to enter to get to the door starts a ways west and a bit south of the map marker, IIRC.
