Random Dragon Soul Absorbed

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 9:58 pm

So, here I am.. walking around picking Nirnroot and conserving it as if I'm playing Oblivion and it's actually rare.. and I happen to pick up my 10th Nirnroot plant and suddenly my character starts having the animation take place where you're absorbing a dragon soul - all the spiraling restoration spell looking stuff going on, and even the "dragon soul abosrbed" text across my screen.

Uh.. is that supposed to happen? I know you actually have to be near a dead dragon for this to take place.. and I looked around to see if some giants or guards killed a dragon on their own somehow and found no dragon remains anywhere near by. Is this a nirnroot thing - or a glitch? lol? Not even sure if it really gave me an extra soul to unlock a word of power as I wasn't counting how many dragons I'd already killed.

soooo... derp

It's like the highlander - each time you slay something with a dragon's soul you absorb it... that nirnroot was one of the dragonborn!

Haha! My buddy and I are both 30 and watched that show in high school; and we were talking tonight and we both do "There can be only one!" when we kill a dragon and take its Quickening...err soul. I'm glad we're not alone in making that connection.
