How about we agree to disagree.

I think this will get you fired up. Fallout trilogy isnt on gamestop online...NO....its sold out. and even better it was being sold for only 15 dollars what a deal!!

Even funnier it has a thing to rate its graphics and people rated it a 5.5 out of 10.

I can agree to disagree.

Being sold out sounds like the oldies are still making a nice profit. That's always a good thing to hear. 15 dollars is, in my opinion, quite reasonable price for the pack, maybe a few bucks overpriced, but not too much. 5.5 out of 10 is above the average, I'd rate the graphics somewhere near that number too (maybe made a notion about the talking heads - which still to day look better than the rubberfaces from the Gamebryo engine usend in FO3 and NV), however, I'd commend the artistic style.

Its only importaint to sum. Yes Fallout 3 won awards so has New Vegas. New Vegas got nominated for alot for Writing awards and Fallout 3 did not, so what does that tell you? So just because Fallout 3 won more awards, it means that every other fallout is crap?

When thats all someone brings up over and over again gets annoying. Having people call Fallout and Fallout 2, pointless, old and irrelevant just shows that they don't care about Fallout and as you may put it, very rude.

Before you rush to defend someone you should read their posts.

ohh i read his posts most of the stuff i agree with and some i do not. I have never accused any of the fallout games crap or pointless. Like i said agree to disagree.

Buy them from Good Old Games. 5.99$ a piece, set price unless there's a promoweekend or something that gets it even lower. And that place won't sell out.

Save your money on tactics then. If you mean GoG's list as a whole, that's not even a fraction. :P

Give Tactics a shot. Its a great game and Bethesda has called the High-Level events Canon.

Yeah, when I went to Bestbuy, I snagged the past copy of Fallout 1 hidden behind some Fallout New Vegas copies. Someone must have hidden it there so nobody would snag it, but I did :D

Maybe people are playing the game so much they can't spend time on the forums? And, those "shortcomings" are actually things we like.

And, how are we in denial? How, explain to me, EXPLAIN!!

the new vegas forums are slow compared to FO3 in the same time frame, even a year and half after FO3 came out the fallout forums had way more action, plus i never ever saw threads on FO3 that it was boring, maybe if a person played the heck out of it for a year or so, but only 2 months into new vegas coming out i saw threads on how little there is to do and there's not much exploring, static world etc, i'm not saiyng its no fun at all, its an above average game still, it does give you some decent playing time, but it lacks depth in the actual environment and gameworld, its pretty obvious the game isn't a smash hit, if it was, this forum would be buzzing still, and its not.

Actually awards do mean something and for you to say they dont thats just outrageous. Its from the people that say that and award it that award. yes vegas has won awards but not enough as F3 has. And that speaks for something. Those awards arnt just givin away willy nillie. Its the people that say "hey this game had this this this and this in it so therefore it deserves this" it doenst get the award for no damn apparent reason.

An award only means as much as you want it to mean. Most games to day win awards on 'stunning visuals', IE, awards are given to games with the trendiest graphics. Just because something wins an award doesnt mean anything, Beiber and Gaga have awards, and just as many people dislike them as do people who like it. The same applies to Fallout 3, just as there are people who do like Fallout 3 to New Vegas, there are people who approve of New Vegas over Fallout 3. Alot of the time, the whiners are more vocal than the lovers. I remember people criticizing Fallout 3 when it first came out too.

Also, I don't give a damn about what 'X-Play' or anyone else says about a game, if they find a game amazing and I find it rubbish, I'm not going to defend something thats trash, thats like when game review companies positively review games they clearly hate. Kane and Lynch 2 is an example of that.

I never said it was rubbish, I enjoy both Fallout 3 and Fallout:New Vegas. My point is, if you pick a game or movie based on others opinions, then you'll only see the movie from their idea not your own.

Exatcly i get get that through some peoples heads. Some of my friends wont even watch a movie if it doesnt even get good reviews even though i said i watched it and its decent etc. You got to experience it yourself before you can judge it.

I agree. Those that rely completely on other peoples idea of what is good are not capable of determining what is good on their own. Some even take every chance they get to start a damn Fallout 3 vs New Vegas thread even if the topic has nothing to do with it. Their bases is "It got a better rating so therefore all else svcks!"

Slow? I see a new thread and many new posts every time i come on, maybe you mean there were no new posts in the less than a second it takes to load after you press F5 as being slow?

And to add to this, I can see threads from the 10th or 9th on the F3 forum, I think the New Vegas forum is largely 'Todays' and 'Yesterday' threads on the First page'

Yes, the Fallout 3 forum sure is more active than this one :spotted owl:

No matter how large the game, interest will wane after a couple of months and forum activity will significantly decline. Only the most dedicated of players are going to stick around after the initial shine wears off, and despite the size of Fallout 3 the initial shine didn't last any longer than it does for any other game. You're kidding yourself if you believe that the average player explores every dungeon and does every side quest; heck I don't, and I'm actually a fan of the series.

The New Vegas forums are actually doing quite well considering that it's been quite a few months since its release.
