You get a very, very rough idea. When you are dealing with millions of people that bough the game you need to ask hundreds of thousands of people that question. No just a couple dozen people on one forum on the world wide web. Have you asked hundreds of thousands of people that question? Have you seen any research done were hundreds of thousands were asked?
For example an election: If 20 people are asked who are you going to vote for X or Y. 11 people vote for X, does that mean Y should just "deal with it" and give up? When there are still millions of people left to vote.
some of you are in denial obviously, you even say its a desert and not much is in it, well most people find that boring, there have been lots of polls on this forum alone and other forums on the internet and its always a majority who thinks the game was good but it gets boring pretty fast, its like you're trying to convice yourself that most people don't want a lot of content in a game, you think most people don't want a lot of good enemies to fight? you think most people actually like most of the map empty? you think most people actually hate random encounters and events? do you really think most people hate having buildings and secret type bases to explore? just face it, the people who like the game empty and the environment dull is a minority, and you're in it.
