Random encounters 2

Post » Sun Nov 08, 2009 12:36 pm

Well let me leave off from what west said. I think he is absolutly correct how can you enjoy a game with all the stuff that he said. Even if it is a bunch of polls they stilll add up to something or there wouldnt be any polls what so ever if no one thought they counted for something.

For the last five posts check here and so on:

Or, you could quote the posts and include them in the OP.

I was saying that you have to deal with statistics. In some way they means something they just arnt a bunch of bull.

Im like the main meal and you all are just eating me up bit by bit...

Cant even get a word in what so ever without someone ganging up on other people.

Yeah, when asked where you got said statistics you couldn't provide them. Hence you can't use them to prove anything. anyway post count.

please stop yelling, i hate it when you fight.

actually i don't and find it very amusing. please continue

some of you are in denial obviously, you even say its a desert and not much is in it, well most people find that boring, there have been lots of polls on this forum alone and other forums on the internet and its always a majority who thinks the game was good but it gets boring pretty fast, its like you're trying to convice yourself that most people don't want a lot of content in a game, you think most people don't want a lot of good enemies to fight? you think most people actually like most of the map empty? you think most people actually hate random encounters and events? do you really think most people hate having buildings and secret type bases to explore? just face it, the people who like the game empty and the environment dull is a minority, and you're in it.

Why bring back this thread, all it was was Dinosaurs VS westoftherockies, with nothing really getting done because of the Dinosaurs getting pissed off at westoftherockies continuously repeating the same argument over and over no matter how many times it was countered.

He has stated the same "information" countless times, and each time people make valid counterarguments, which he counters by saying the same exact thing AGAIN, only this time he says that anyone who disagrees with him is "in denial", "stuck in the past", or "a minority", and he bases the baseless accusations with completely biased and incorrect statements. I once agreed with some stuff he said, but he has worn that welcome down to a moist powder.

We did have great counter points but there is only so much one can take talking to a damn wall of arrogance and ignorance. I wish nu_clear_day did not say "time to make another one" because that topic burned out long ago. Its was no longer about random encounters. Now its just trying to make people upset by continuing a pointless "debate."

Have you even read all the stuff he posts, so damn often, the only good point he said was that the map was static, and he got that from Gab, but he twisted it into a counterargument for damn near everything.

1. First hold down the left button at the bottom post and drag it up to the fifth posts message.
2. Then copy paste it in this thread's post.
3. Then remove all the signatures, and usernames and other crap live member titles and crap so only the posts remain then place
at the start of each post and
at the end of each post.

The raw draft looks like this:

You get a very, very rough idea. When you are dealing with millions of people that bough the game you need to ask hundreds of thousands of people that question. No just a couple dozen people on one forum on the world wide web. Have you asked hundreds of thousands of people that question? Have you seen any research done were hundreds of thousands were asked?

For example an election: If 20 people are asked who are you going to vote for X or Y. 11 people vote for X, does that mean Y should just "deal with it" and give up? When there are still millions of people left to vote.

some of you are in denial obviously, you even say its a desert and not much is in it, well most people find that boring, there have been lots of polls on this forum alone and other forums on the internet and its always a majority who thinks the game was good but it gets boring pretty fast, its like you're trying to convice yourself that most people don't want a lot of content in a game, you think most people don't want a lot of good enemies to fight? you think most people actually like most of the map empty? you think most people actually hate random encounters and events? do you really think most people hate having buildings and secret type bases to explore? just face it, the people who like the game empty and the environment dull is a minority, and you're in it.

All the words and sentences in red is to be removed since those are quotes, signatures, usernames, member titles et cetera.

Now after that is removed you copy paste
at the start of each of these posts and a
at the end of them.
Then you fill out the name in the name=""

Then the post (in edit status) should look like this:

I don't need random encounters to be happy, but they are nice. Fallout 1 ALWAYS kept me on my toes, hell, I would get jumped by raiders, rats, or just fall off a cliff.

Now, I liked Fallout New Vegas's exploration better, don't ask me why. They places that were detailed were DETAILED, and I found tons of cool loot at those places. Fallout 3 felt too copy pasted, but Fallout New Vegas's major locations felt unique.

Looking at the end pages of the last topic, which was a lot of bickering, and the start of this one, I think we can do without it.
