Random, non-weaponarmor items

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 5:38 am

So, was enjoying the Combat Gameplay video, and at 1:55 I noticed the random junk you can use in the Junk Jet.

There are a lot more items available for looting then I thought there would be.

Todd Howard did say there will be thousands of items in the game... So there must be a large enough variety.

Plus unlike 3/NV apparently a good chunk of those random junk items gonna have a practical use this time around, which I like.

Indeed. I always wondered why I couldn't just pick up one of those hammers and use it as a weapon, but at least now we'll likely be able to scrap it for its metal.

I noticed the teddy bear was worth 1 leather and 3 cloth. Wonder how many teddy bears it takes to make a recliner, or a suit of leather armor.

Good eye, I missed that... Now I'll actually collect teddy bears in the game. :D

Thanks to Old World Blues, I tend to collect pretty much everything. Finally a use for clipboards and toasters in that DLC, and Fallout 4 will reward my RPG hoarder tendencies.

I both like this and don't. I like it because now everything's useful, but now I'm going to be hoarding even more and having to make tons of trips for getting all the loot I want.

Now an everything hoarder :)

I'll be doing the same thing. I want to build as much as I possible can.

Looking through the video I noticed we will be able to build cement/concrete structures. I'm guessing that will require a lot of different materials. I can't wait!

Imagine making like an apartment complex, with laser turrets and mortars protecting it. Tenpenny Tower MkII.

Especially if you wear that creepy animal mascot mask from earlier in the video.

Teddy bear picnic, anyone?

I love love love this new system. I've always felt that, as a survivor in a post apocalyptic world, scaving should be very important. Now finally a use for all this junk and even more reason to explore.
