Random slow-motion kills with bow?

Post » Fri Oct 07, 2011 6:31 pm

Is it known if there will be randomised slow-motion kills with a bow, like how when you killed creatures in Fallout: New Vegas (not in VATS) and it sometimes went into extreme slow-motion. It could make archery more cinematic and epic, although I think Fallout sometimes overdid it and it shouldn't happen too often.

Well, to each is own, I can understand that even though I enjoy the cinematic moments (but not too often), I suppose they could give the option to turn them off to keep everyone happy, but I don't think they've done that for finishing moves have they?

Ok, well I wouldn't be turning it off anyway so it doesn't bother me at all. I wonder why they chose not to give the choice, I guess they figured the main fans who would care enough would mod it out?

Well since we already have for the other weapons i don't see why not, it will be cool to see a slow motion headshot with an arrow :hubbahubba:

I quite enjoyed the cinematics in Fallout... sure they overdid it... but there were many occasions where me and my friends would be in awe of the grotesque beheading I just did with the ripper...

I can think of a few reasons...

1. They're using finishers to sugar-coat a melee combat system which really hasn't improved all that much.
2. Finishers are tied in with perks somehow.
3. They're forcing them on people purely because they think they look super awesome, with no regard for the fact that a lot of people don't like that kind of thing at all.

My guess is a mix of all three.
