I might have a find here, but when watching the crysis 2 experience part 1 the guy walks over a "ranged SCAR" shortly after assassinating the first 2 guys. i strongly believe it just to be a SCAR with an ACOG/12x Zoom sniper scope but it may be something else, crytek-adam, what is this "thing"

The SCAR article in the news section mentions a SCARE sniper variant. Probably with a lower RoF and clip size but more damage and the ability to use a Sniper Scope.

The Ranged Scar is a SCAR with an Assault Scope (please don't call it ACOG...that's CoD only...it's called Assault in Crysis) and burst fire.

The Demolition SCAR is one with an Assault Scope and a Grenade Launcher.

IPWN if i picked this up and modified it to(for example) put a silencer, red dot sight and umm. single shot mode on it, would it change back to normal SCAR or "stealthy SCAR" or what? or is its name stuck to the starting load-out?

Not sure...but there are all these random names like:

CELL Scar
Stealth SCAR
Demolition SCAR
Etc.

The Stealth one has a laser pointer and a silencer.

The CELL Scar is just a SCAR with an Assault Scope and a different skin.

The Scar looks awesome. Im sure there will be variants of different guns because thats realistic.

Many guns are changed and modified for different uses. Pretty cool
