Ranks / Levels

i recently thought of somthing , will there be titles/ranks for each level? like a level 1 will be a recruit.
if there is none what would you name each level?

its not really necessary but its just a thought.

Level {#} + Rank tag Secs get military ranks Res get marks (like kills but for levels, levels 1-3 get basic I-II-III marks, but highers like 4-5 get a _ underneath the III,5 gets x2_ picture it , it'd look better than it sounds. ranks after get thicker and more plentiful lines.

Or, my personal favorite:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20.

I honestly don't see ranks having names as important, considering I tend to forget the name of my current rank less than 10 seconds after I reach it.

I think a simple numbered system would be just fine. It doesn't seem like the arc has any sort of established military, so they wouldn't even have traditional ranks.

Well the security were just a small security force before and now there a huge police force, im sure they had SOME sort of ranking but not like the miltary.

Ruffian did this in Crackdown 2. It's actually a pretty neat idea. Some of them were most humorous indeed.

Anyway, numbers are the easiest. "Awww freaken lvl 3 on my team!" Compared to "Stupid Gunnery Sargent grade 3 prestige 1" Just saying.....

I agree with this actually, as doing it like this would make each faction feel that much more different.

more or less my thoughts at the top

although rank numbers are easier i think you should have both in a game cause simply "Congrats Your Level 2" doesn't sound as good as like AVP's young blood elite all that it gives you more of a depth of your character. just being "Level 1" makes you feel like your just starting the game where as the rank name "Noob" makes you feel pathetic and embarrassing so you really wanna charge through those ranks to become the bad ?(censored) you know you are.

Ha I have 2 Physics degrees, most of the numbers i worked with were only theoretical, really who needs to know the weight of the galaxy?

I know, I just meant even more differentiating, hence my saying "...faction feel that much more different..." instead of "...would make them feel different."

And I meant from a scoreboard perspective - seeing different symbols for numbers for each faction would make them feel more different than simple red and blue backgrounds. Mainly in terms of viewing the scoreboard that is.
