Rapid Weather changes

Post » Sun Nov 21, 2010 11:28 am

So I just recently upgraded my entire computer and reinstalled Oblivion because I got the itch to play again from scratch. I didn't add too many mods, just a natural environments mod, the DLCs and SI. For some reason I am experiencing weather that changes rapidly. It will go from complete sunshine to rain and back within a matter of minutes and this is almost all the time. Same thing in Bruma with the snow. I know the game never did this before. I am not sure if this is something caused by the mod or hardware.

AMD X3 3.0GHz and a Radeon 5770

I hope someone can help and give me an idea of how to solve this other than just a clean reinstall. Thanks!

Please, post your load order, and if you installed Natural Weather, drop the plugin and install the fixed version.

Post your load order - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=know_how_to#PostYourLoadOrder

Popular Outdated Mods - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=popular_outdated_mods <-- link to the fixed version here

Edit: Just so you know, most mod-related problems do not require a reinstall. You can almost always remove the mods and revert back to the vanilla state.

Thanks. You gave me a couple ideas that I want to try really quick and see if they work. Once I have done that I will post back what I have found, and possible the order. Though from the looks of it the mod loads after everything else which makes sense because it was the last thing that I installed.

Load order and installation order are very different.

Load Order - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=load_order
BOSS - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=boss <-- Use this to sort your load order.
Installing Mods - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/index.php?page=installing_mods <-- You can say that there is correlation between the two orders possibly, but the point is that they should be managed separately.

I found out what it was. It looks like one of the parts of that particular mod was loading twice and so the weather was going crazy. It seems to be working better now. Thanks!

It was Natural Weather? You were loading to versions of the NW plugin? You should not do that with any mod, which is part of why reading the ReadMe is important. Although, Natural Environments has an OMOD script that should prevent users from doing that.
