I have been playing Fallout Shelter for nearly month since it was released for Android users. One thing regarding this game that annoys me at times is the frequency of rare/legendary item acquisitions. During my time playing, I have noticed the chances of finding higher quality loot are incredibly low. Even my vault dwellers who have ten points in Luck and have been exploring for over 48 hours rarely ever find items that are greater than common. While I understand that acquiring powerful items quickly can make the game too easy, spending much time training dwellers and leaving them out for exploration only to get near-worthless items in return makes playing this game feel unrewarding at times. I feel that Luck and time spent exploring should have a greater impact on the chances of finding better loot.
I would say that both Luck and exploration time should not only make a greater impact of finding rare items, but also become multiplicative of each other. If a dweller have 10 Luck, then it should significantly reduce the amount of time needed to explore and vice-versa. At the moment, it feels as if time is the only factor and that Luck makes no difference at all. I have had very inconsistent results where my low luck explorers would find twice as many rare items in 48 hours than the high luck dwellers would acquire within the same amount of time. Other times the higher luck dwellers would perform as expected.
Does anyone else have problems with finding better loot? Maybe RNG is not in my favor, but it is still ridiculous how rare good items in the game are.
