It's assumed that Nathan dies if you destroy Raven Rock or gets executed later on. Anna Holt works for the Enclave -- good for her.

And how good was your karma? You may be Last, Best Hope for Humanity but you may have been only slightly good, so being a meanie to Fawkes may have knocked it down. If your Karma level was at Very Good, then I can't see what you might have done.

Personally, as representitive of the Enclave on these forums, I am insulted that such a baffoon spreads our good word. No one takes him seriously, and his arguments are unconvincing. When I see Nathan, I see a fool; the Enclave cannot not be seen as clowns.

*out of character* -- I dunno, it's probably just to make the player chuckle. And who's to say they captured him? Perhaps they approached him in a friendly manner, asking him to join them (though this is unlikely considering he's just a wastelander to them), but when Nathan heard them talking about their plans, he disagreed, and they locked him up?

here's something interesting, i have played through the main quest quite a few times and i have seen nathan at raven rocks lots of times, i have seen him get killed there and i have also seen him get wounded and not killed before i killed the enclave who shot him, that time when i got back to megaton he only had like 2 bars of health left, so he made it back that time, i have seen him back in megaton most of the time i get done with the raven rock quest, but a few of the the times i never seen him again, so i'm not sure if its a glitch that he makes it back alive, and when he does make it back alive, if you talk to him, he still likes the enclave just like he did before, how or why he ends up at raven rock, i have no idea. but usually when i'm at raven rock i quickly get to level 2 of raven rock so that nathan doesn't get killed by the enclave because if you hang the area he's at, his cell doors opens and the enclave kill him.

really i was doing a furr ow (i dont know how to seppl the actual word so dsounding it out works ...) trek through raven rock i hung aroudn in teh 1st spot so long i killed anythjing with a red ticker on the compass harmless or not if compass said evil i shot it in the brain area took me about 3 -6 hours to complete the the quest ( i was looking for the needle in the hay stack and i found a skill book and some mentats...)

nathan was perfectly sound every time i passed him and no enclave tried to attack him ... though not many tried to atatck me eitehr even after colonal autims called hostility against me through teh P:A ... where did the colonal go ??? / why did he leave ????

Autumn went to Project Purity to oversee the Enclave scientists.

I imagine he left because he didn't want to be killed by the Lone Wanderer and he had an argument with Eden. That, or he didn't see any reason to stay around. It's a shame really -- I would love having the opportunity to speak to the Colonel, and let him know I am on his side.

What happens to Nathan and the Traitor:
Nathan has only ever been in his cell once in my games. I never see him again after Raven Rock.
Anna Holt eats a bullet or a grenade every time I see her.

I'm surprised noone has mentioned the Enclave Officer at the Purifier who looks just like Nathan. Since I never see him after Raven Rock, I like to think he escaped and stole a uniform off a body to live his Enclave dream.

That's what Nathan gets!
I'm pretty sure they don't capture him because he is a clown. I think just because they don't care about him or he got in their way and wanted to put him in a cell for fun. That's pretty much what the enclave always does.

SPOILER!!!
After you complete the quest "trouble on the home-front." And if you choose the choice of sabotaging the Vault; thus making everyone leave the vault. You will encounter Amata on the outside world. She is being confronted by the Enclave. They ask her nicely; "where is your vault located?" Amata tells them. They shoot her.

Glitch; I went over to one of my friends yesterday and completed the "American dream" quest for him. For some reason one of the guard was shooting at him while he was inside that cell. He was running around inside that restraint thingy. Looked funny.

it's prob a glitch i guess or maybe sometimes he just escapes from raven rock, but i have definately seen me almost 50% of the time back at megaton after raven rock, but other times i haven't seen him anymore, but like i said earlier, one time the enclave attacked him at raven rock and i killed the enclave before they killed him but his health was very low, i figured he would of never made it out of raven rock but when i got back to megaton he was there but still only had like 2 bars of health left.

I am always willing to defend my brethren, but that is simply not possible here. If it were any other wastelander, then so be it; they have pointless lives and are not needed. However, Amata is pure, and she could have been very useful.

I hope those brutish soldiers suffered suitable punishment back at Raven Rock for their idoicy.

The Enclave has done nothing to deserve being forced to procreate with that harlet!

No, no, no. Even if I'm lazy and do a lot of sneaking, she gets hers. Sometimes right between the eyes, and sometimes I start with a kneecap. Autumn's a filthy weasel for reasons that have been elaborated on- trying to "help" by taking others' work by force then bragging about how much "he" has done. She's worse- offering others' work up as her "cover charge" to join him. And then to ask "What are you going to do, shoot me?" Well...funny you should say that, because as a matter of fact... :gun:

True, true, Amata is a witch, but she's still a pure human... and you will have to accept what she'd be used for.

It was Eden who took credit. Not Autumn.

My guess at the beginning of the game was. You left the vault then at the end of the game, you returned to the vault and got married to Amata.

I don't bother to torture her since I'm supposed to be on the run, more or less. I simply shoot her - she deserves no less. I think that she had a communicator of some sort and gave the Enclave the heads-up that the purifier was ready to go at Project Purity when you were turning on the power and activating the mainframe; it wouldn't take too long to get from Raven Rock to Project Purity since they were flying. I felt free to lay my father's death at her door as well as that of the Enclave itself. :gun: As for Nathan, well, too bad, so sad. I never bothered to look for him after I got back to Megaton, figuring he got killed in the destruction of Raven Rock.

I'm betting Nathan ran up to the first Enclave soldier he saw thinking he could join, and they laughed at him and locked him up. As for Anna Holt, the traitor, I almost always kill her when I encounter her.

I don't. She's convinced that the Enclave has the same goals as Dad did: pure water for everyone. If stupidity was a crime rating death, I'd have to kill myself.

But if I convince Eden to implode Raven Rock, she and ol' Nathan probably get smooshed anyway. Too bad, but nothing you can do about it

Never played a Fallout game before, have you? The plots, while different, always have a similar theme:

  • Vault (or in the case of Fallout 2 your village) has a problem
  • You are selected as the vault/village's great savior
  • You travel out into the wasteland where hilarity ensues
  • You save your people
  • Your people shun you because you're too changed to ever live among them again
  • The End

In response to the OP: I assume they both die because I usually blow Raven Rock up. That said, there have been plenty of times that I see Nathan wandering around Megaton after Raven Rock is no more, even if the Enclave killed him in his cell.

Under those circumstances I'm forced to assume that he is some form of deity -- who else but a god could be gunned down in his jail cell, come back to life and escape a doomed mountain fortress? -- and I form a religion based on his teachings and recruit the followers of Atom to my new religion... or kill them. It's all a finely woven tapestry.

Even though it's only semi-canon, Tactics did not follow that list, and New Vegas seems poised to break that cycle as well (you're just some messenger and have no 'people to save, you're mostly working towards your own ends.)
