Try looking at things that give you rads, like some creators around the wastes, or cars after an explosion, you should be able to use that a good example?

Will give it a shot...I've found the radiation marker in GECK but it just points to a .nif. I extracted that .nif and looked at it in Nifskope but that's where I get lost. Not even sure it's the right place...

Good suggestion though...will take a peek. Maybe the barrels in the wasteland have settings that are adjustable.

Thanks again Rydain. :)

I never knew my signature would cause this much chaos.
Oh well :P

Well, no prob, considering it just caused a massive sonic boom across my living room. Ouch. And what was that>??????????? An anime scream fest. God my head hurts.

Caramelldansen at its best. You take one Swedish song, add a dash of cuteness/anime, mix with a odd dance, and you have the meme.
Good fun for the family.

Just had another thought, if you cant figure it out, you could use the script from "my first infirmary" and make it so that once you are in the jacuzzi you have to activate it and click remove rads.

@ yevic, My god man, does your sig contain brainwashing white noise or something, i cant stop listening to it!

Looks like it may come down to that...good suggestion yet again.

Thanks Rydain...appreciate all your input.

Just thought I'd mention that I'm tracking this one for the day you get those little quirks worked out and the mod finalized. I like its look and feel, can't wait for you to figure it out and release the final version! Until then, I'll continue using my dirty, cramped, old-as-dirt Megaton home. :3

Thanks! :) I'm getting close...Jacuzzi is done and Mannequin Display is almost done. Just little tweaks beyond that...I would expect it to be out sometime this weekend. As far as being "final" I don't expect the next version to be "final" as I plan to not necessarily add more space but fine tune what I have...

Appreciate you following the progress...as always the feedback keeps me going.

Well, it could just be me, but it seems a bit odd that a postwar group would have their logo in a prewar facility, when the place hasn't been opened.
Just my thoughts, though.

Oh, and did you place that chain link fence at the back of the red rocket stand? It's a bit out of place there.

This was brought up before and the conclusion was there is no background the BoS symbol so you can use your imagination as to why it's there. If you want to pick apart the realism in my mod it's easy to do...but I tried to keep it at least close. (I did have a backstory in my description that I must have erased on an update by accident...it explained the long life of the fish and a little history on Mr. Richardson.)

My explanation was Mr. Richardson was an artist and that was his signature that BoS inadvertantly adapated as their logo...obviously at a much later time. :P

As far as the fence...fair enough. I did add it as I like a little bit of a closed off version as opposed to it being open. But if others feel it's awkward I'll consider moving it...

Thank you much for the feedback...and appreciate you taking the time to check it out. :)

As far as the seats I just changed them slightly and tops of the seats are just above water so they are easily clickable. I was working on an activator to sit in the seats but this made more sense and was a little easier.

In regards to the underwater effects I found lights that have a higher Alpha priority then the placeable water.

As far as the rad-removal which I believe what you are inquiring about ...still working on that...when I meant done...I guess I meant the basis...rad removal is a tweak I still have to do. :)

rayek:
have you considered using a time-delayed effect which would remove all rads after say, 2 minutes of standing/sitting in the jacuzzi. it wouldnt be as active, like watching your geigercounter go backwards, but it would eventually produce the same effect.

the thing that comes to mind for me in order to get this to work is the exploding baby cart in meresti station - you can rerig it for a time effect. perhaps you could rig it to do a time delay area effect of complete rad removal?

That's the ideal way...basically taking a Radiation Marker and instead of adding rads...removing rads slowly..but surely. Other alternatives are "yuck" drinking the jacuzzi water to remove rads....or clicking on something to remove rads. Ultimately it will be whatever one I can get working. I'm new at this so it's a learning process more then anything. I'm sure there are wizzes out there who could plop it together in an instant...I'm just not there...yet.

Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Yay! A house mod I didn't make that I actually like! :goodjob:

Why do so many of your posts read like an advertisemant? It frustrates me that you show off your own mods in every single house mod thread which I read.

Anyway, it's an impressive house. You don't need to look at the Nif's to change an object's effect. Tell you what, if you want to, email the .esp file to "spam_spammer@hotmail.com" and I'll have a look at it for you :)

One, I was waiting for someone to call me out on it, and second, I'm secretly a billboard
Didn't you slowly notice it was getting worse? Trophy to Attentater5 ^_^
Now I need a new game...got one!
This one won't be so obvious
It begins tommorow! :obliviongate:

Well, no biggie about the symbol, I just thought it was a bit odd for it to be there.
I spent about 15 seconds looking for the rusty katana, but came to the conclusion that it might not be there. Now after spending 15 MORE seconds looking through fo3edit, I see it's just not in the main room, which implies I have to look around the place a bit better(a old Dojo? Fun fun fun).

As far as I know the rusty katana should be there. Unless Rayek made a change. I found it in the fountain on the self right below the fine katana.

I can't wait

In all seriousness, What are your future plans with this mod?
Or is it done? The only thing is, i can't think of anything that needs adding.

One comment I forgot was the toilet, it seems a little out of place. In the hallway. :P

Huh, I'll have to check again.
Oh, and might I suggest adding a different activator for the bobblehead display, so it doesn't need the bobble head in your pockets to add one to the wall? I ask because I add mine to my house in megaton, instead of any random house I have that also can use them. Why? Because it is possible that one will uninstall the house, and then they will lose their bobble heads, which is not good.
I once saw a house that had a different way of using the bobbleheads, placing them there if you have them placed in megaton of Tenpenny, but not if you carry them with you(which meant no lost bobble heads).
I'll let you know if I find it.

Thanks for the offer, very nice of you. I'll e-mail it off shortly. I've managed to (again, yuck) make the water restore rads by clicking and drinking it. Would prefer the area effect cure radiation. Naturally if you somehow get that to work I can at least add you to the credits. :) Even if you don't appreciate you trying.

I spent about 15 seconds looking for the rusty katana, but came to the conclusion that it might not be there. Now after spending 15 MORE seconds looking through fo3edit, I see it's just not in the main room, which implies I have to look around the place a bit better(a old Dojo? Fun fun fun).

I actually did not add the Rusty Katana to my hideout, just the Fine Katana and Scrap Katana (which is what I believe Rydian thought was Rusty Katana, and I can see why) I can add it for the next update if it's used that much. I just prefered an extra Fine Katana. As for Hidden Dojo, I like it! Man maybe I need to stop asking for feedback, so many things I can envision but at what point does it become too much? :P Which leads to the next question...

In all seriousness, What are your future plans with this mod?
Or is it done? The only thing is, i can't think of anything that needs adding.

Current plans are obviously to finish up the Jacuzzi, Mannequins, Gnome Trigger to open and close the entrance hatch and some other small edits...

After that thoughts and suggestions that I've had are:
-Light Switches
-Backstory (computer/terminal)
-Generator (perhaps a quest attached to it to maintain it)
-Security System of some sorts (cameras, scanners, etc)
-Shooting Range
-Ammo/Explosives sorter
-Oven/fireplace that you can actually combine/cook food in
-New! Bobblehead script to work in all houses

And those are just a few of some really good ideas...I realize I can't and won't end up doing all of them...but just because the place is small doesn't mean you can't add alot of details and features. To keep small let alone mini in the title I may have to start a 2nd mod.

Toilet is a bit different for location...but I like it and it probably won't move. Something about staring at fish while taking a crap works for me. :lmao:

Great suggestion and I now plan to add it...maybe just not this update...but will see. I believe Ruined/Deserted Vault added it...will take a look at the scripting.

Thanks to all for the suggestions and feedback, really do appreciate it.

No, I just play games on forums, I get bored. (Game = seeing how long I can do something and get away with it before someone starts to notice, my signature was a insta-fail because everyone found it :( )
It only seems to have come up on this thread though.
Like the whole incident earlier in this thread.

Although I could just be an @ss
Or maybe I like attention? Just depends how you look at it, I just think it's because I'm wierd and bored. :P

@ your reasoning for the toliet, I'll have to leave the stall door open more often. Though that could get awkward with Jericho right there
