Sadly, my computer cannot play Fallout 3, it can't even play Halo: Combat Evolved, whenever my dad stops being such a cheap-ass I might be able to though. Great-sounding home though! :goodjob:

Bummer about the computer...I do so much on my computer I sadly can't imagine not having one...

Thanks though for taking a look.

Update: I have the mannequin stationary and appearing from the start, aquarium fixed, remote control gnome turned back into a stationary switch (that actually works) :) and last but not least if you haven't read Miss Sparkle fixed the ongoing display case flicker. Just working on the AoE radiation removing effect. Might add a Water Purifier just to not have it be a total bug/polish update.

Thoughts immediately after that is beginning work on a hatch down to a room...what's in that room I'm still debating. Generator room? Armory? Maybe a ball room...just full of baseballs...or not. :) Alot of great ideas...just mulling them over and trying to envision what will work.

Thanks.

Yes it works with 1.6 with my testing so far.

...unfortunately it looks like it still requires FO3Edit masterupdate just as in 1.5...

I really should not be posting so late at night, this is when I get really silly

I really like how you are keeping the mystery room a secret. It is going to make people mad dash to the download section when the new version is up...I better camp out there now so I can be first in line! To be even more interesting, you should make the entrance a secret as well, so we really have to look around for it. Just a suggestion and by no means do you have to do it, just figured that you may want to laugh at those of us who can't find the room while we run around like a rat in a maze to be the first to find it :P

I'm kinda new to modding, maybe that's the issue, but when i use the mod, if i go in or near the hideout when i fast travel or enter a building, the game crashes on autosave, is there any conflicts i could have invoked?

What could the Mystery Room be you ask?

This superb fallout shelter has everything - except a means of supplying itself with power and a place to store supplies. I imagine there would be a room with shelving, storage crates and a generator or two. I'm not sure how useful such a room would be though. It might be more cosmetic than anything which seems like kind of a waste. (if you do add a generator remember that this place is under a fueling station so perhaps the generator could be tapped into the station somehow?)

An armory would be cool except we've already got the weapon locker. Besides that, would Mr. WhatsHisName whose shelter we're living in request an armory? Maybe, maybe not.

Was Mr. WhatsHisName a car guy? Maybe he requested a place to safeguard his vehicle. It could be one of the few or perhaps the only intact vehicle left in the Wasteland.

I don't know, grasping at straws now.

It sounds to me like you need FO3Edit...and you're using Patch 1.5+. Megaton, auto-save and save crashes are all symptoms of this. Follow my instructions below if you already haven't and there's a good chance it will fix it.

Steps for use:

1. Download FO3Edit
2. Copy the FO3Edit.exe to desktop
3. Rename to F03MasterUpdate
4. Open up FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager) and check a mod
5. Click the FO3MasterUpdate.exe (then close window when it done)
6. Launch Fallout 3 through FOMM and voila!

You do not need to install the esp that comes with FO3Edit. And you will need to do this each time you install a new mod. (thanks Tavone)If Bethesda ever fixes the problems caused by the 1.5 patch, then rename the .exe to FO3MasterRestore.exe and again run the program and it should do exactly what it says...restore your mods.

Hope that does it.

- Bane...good points across the board. Cosmetic it will be hopefully...cosmetic alone? Nah...I'll find something at least semi-useful to do/use.

Your suggestions are very good...tying the gas station into a generator is good...upon your mention I did envision a room where a pristine 1957 Chevy was in mint condition...Mr. Richardsons prize possession...but we shall see.

Really appreciate the feedback too...always like to hear comments such as "This supberb fallout shelter has everything" :)

The "mystery" however...remains. ;)

Aha, I guess ill just wait and see. I remember reading something in a news paper a while back that police had to force a woman to take down a sign that she had stuck out her window that said "SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE". I hope this secret room wont be as bad as the ending of that series :P

Yeah the sig is pretty disturbing, but it is said to be the true identity of the mysterios stranger from Fallout 3 :whisper:

:D Now that's hardcoe...I predict no such ending for the Hideout. :)

And at your sig: If that's the case though I might have to avoid the Mysterious Stranger perk! hah....creeeepy, even their voices and the clay models...

Inexperience is np...glad you got it all working and appreciate the help from the others that responded.

Also thank you much for the feedback, glad "it rocks!" :) The katanas do tend to get you to lean towards finding out the "stealthier" ways of playing Fallout 3...

Small Update:

Version 9 should be out Saturday, Sunday at the latest. Will include mostly bug fixes and no secret room yet...(or is there?) :P

-Adds: Water Purifier (change your dirty water to purified water)
-Fixed: Aquarium Bug
-Fixed: Flickering Display Case (thank you again Miss Sparkle)
-Change: Mannequin is now there when you arrive and is stationary...no poses, and you can only equip/unequip armor and helmets.
-Change: Moveable Gnome Hatch Trigger is now a nice, standard, anchored, functioning switch in the spot it was previously (next to the hatch)

Coming Soon:

Mystery Room
Universal Bobblehead Display Script

Unfortunately the AoE Radiation removal continues to elude me and probably gonna take a break from trying to figure that out for awhile...

Thanks.

Awesome news! We can still buy the female mannequin in megaton, right?

I tried to take a look at a radiation removal method, but I couldn't figure out a solution (besides an activator I guess). Maybe you could use the waterfall as the activator, or maybe you can adjust the waterfall (well the jacuzzi water spray set up, not sure what you call it) so that it can be turned off and on and when it is turned on, the radiation removal spell happens? I am only trying to give you ideas, I am sure you have a better one, or will find out something :P

You know I will pick the place apart in case you will add the "mystery room" ;)

Unfortunately not :( I know..kind of lame really. In order to anchor one down and keep it permanent I had to pick one. But! I can make the same mod with a female mannequin as an option...not hard to do. :)

Good ideas for the radiation removal too...still trying to grasp what I can do and learning how spell effects work. For now though clicky on water = 25 rad removal. I spent so much time on it gonna take a breather before I revisit...little more motivated to finish the secret room (or am I already done? hmmm who knows...) maybe that's a mystery too...maybe not.

Thanks Miss Sparkle, fixer of display cases  ...as always...appreciate the feedback.
