Just to let you all know that I got info today from another clan friend that rConnect 4.007 WILL work with C2, but only by applying a startup command line change.

If you are with Gameservers.com, you will need to submit a support ticket, and they will change this info for you. Please make sure you request the line of code EXACTLY, and then rConnect will work.

+rcon_startserver port:9010 pass:xxxxx +http_password xxxxxx +http_startserver port:64001

The pass:xxxxxx can be what you want it too be, just remember what it is. Your web signin password to your cPanel for the server will be the http_password xxxxxxx

If you have access to the autoexec file for your server, you can manually add this yourself. This does work, I have a stable connection to my server and kick/ban works.

Game Servers always have BETTER admin tools when a game itself doesn't have any admin access. GameServers is very recommended to rent from. I myself had thought of getting my own server too.

Dude what is your server? I hope i won't get lag though cuz it looks like you're from Australia and i'm from US. However i would like to know your server so i can feel safe not dealing with cheaters and knowing a admin moderates it

Server is called - The United Front [TIA 100 TICK], it is located in the US, so you are all good.

We have clan members from the US, UK and AUS, so LA is the best central location for us.

Are you sure there is a rcon tool out now? I heard there isn't a new one out for Crysis 2 servers? Someone mentioned something of a RCON app you can use? Or same tool you can use from Crysis 1? Dunno if true. Please clear things up before i decide to buy my own server.

If you download the program from the link I posted, put in your server info as I have stated in my first post, it will work. It is the version of Rconnect written for WARS, but with the command line change in your server, this version will work to a limitied extent.

I have kick/ban abilities right now, can't rotate maps, or anything special like that yet, but for basic kick/ban admining, this proceddure works. I have a stable connection to my server using this method, and have successfully kicked clan friends out and banned them also for testing purposes.

It's up to you whether or not you choose to use it, but's it there to use!

I am sure that, this rcon supports map rotation, game modes, score/time limit etc.

It does support map rotation, BUT, is configered for WARS, so only shows WARS maps in the cycle list.

That's a great idea. As long as it does not turn into a "server advertising" thread and the servers are truly moderated.

We have 3 admins, on at different times, but not always as you can understand.

If you have hacker proof, i.e. video or screenies, you can post them to our website, and I will be sure to ban them.
