Reaching the limit?

Post » Wed Nov 05, 2014 11:15 am

So I found a few more mods that looked promising and I downloaded them, installed through MO, sorted load-order, cleaned some with Tes5Edit and then started the game.

Load up my "explore new mod" save-game, and.....

Get a message: This save relies on content that is no longer available message.

Then when I finally get ingame all "scripts/MCM's/whatever" reloads themself and after some 15 seconds the game starts to kind of flicker (like ultrarapid nights and days, it kind of fade in/fade out). I can do stuff as usuall, it just get's dark ever 2 seconds and then goes back to normal.

Have I reached the limit or is it some kind of mod conflict that causes this? I uninstalled a few mods that does not really add something I want/need and everything is back to normal again. Seem to be the limit. Or?

According to LOOT I have the following:

Active Plugins 254

Dirty Plugins 0

Total Plugins 257

Warnings 2

Errors 0

Total Messages 9

The two warnings are deletd Nav Meches in Stoop over Markarth mod and in uhm, another one I can't remember right now.

Beth Games have a limit of 255 Active esm/esp files.

Skyrim.esm

Update.esm

Hearthfires.esm

Dragonborn.esm

Dawngaurd.esm

A Bashed Patch

249 slots to be filled.

MO can be used to load BSA Assets and remove some of the esp's that count towards the limit, like the High Resolution Texture Pack esp's.

Good luck keeping Your house of cards standing.

Hahahaha.. Thanks for the reply!

And thanks for the info. I'll keep that in mind!

I've started looking through my list of mods to see which ones I don't really want and so on.

Also, I just recently started to realize that most of the armour mods I will never use, I just install them because... So I have quite a few mods I can remove.

Maybe I just redo everything, it's half the fun anyway. But this time I think I'm going to make a "perfect modded game" so maybe I can finally start play it for real!

Yeah if you have that many mods, you really need to clean your list up. If by some miracle you really do want to keep all those mods, look into the merge mods function of tes edit. It will allow you to slim down your mod count and keep your content. Word of warning though, be a tad cautious on which mods you merge, some things don't work well.
